I've found that the act of seeking pushes enlightment away and God, Sprit, All That Is is leading me to stop seeking and just accept my good.

Grasping is usless, and that is what spritual seekers do. Just accept your life the way it is and love it. If you are a drug addict or misrable in any situation you are still grasping.

This is what all accended masters have said. The kingdom of god is within you. You don't need to meditate, go to church, read one more spritual book. Just continually remind yourself that you are already where you need to be in your life and if you don't like how your life is going, turn your mind to what you would like to see in your life and and try to accept and love yourself.

It works! I have proof in my personal life. I never thought that I would see the changes that have taken place in my life. I've had miracles happen in my life just by turning my thoughts to things that are good. I had a strong faith and confidence that I could improve my situation by accepting that well being is what God has planned for me.

What do you guys think about that? If you agree I would love to talk more about it and make some friends here.

You have discovered a major truth in a spiritual practice.

Enlightenment is like a giggling schoolgirl that runs from you when chased.

Show no interest, she'll come sit by your side.

    Nice analogy:)
Before enlightenment... dig ditch, carry water. After enlightenment... dig ditch, carry water. Don't know who said that one but it is true.
This experience is about JOY, JOY, and more JOY.

Live your life for love and truth and then you will begin to have a deeper understanding of the spiritual.

Spiritual works, studying it, is still necessary because it helps to articulate matters for you. It can bring about deeper understanding. It doesn't require force, just focus, and focus isn't grasping. It's living and learning.

I totally understand you. I've been living like this for around a year and a half now, maybe more. I'm only 15 and when I tell people my way of life... they just refuse it and don't get it at all. It's so hard giving people advice about this... As for my life, It has been THE GREATEST it could possibly be :]

I'm no longer a spiritual master. I had mastered the samadhis, but then within this world nobody can place a title or price on realization, so now I'm just Joe Plumber, unlike Joe Plumber. When people start talking about how spiritual they happen to be I usually check their prescription to see just how spiritual they are. Otherwise, spiritual is a word, and that and four bucks get you some Starbucks.

But truthfully back when I was a young idealist I identified quite strongly with the yogic lifestyle and it wasn't until I realized that I had developed quite a considerable amount of vanity that I casted off from that lifestyle and entered the world and there I have remained. Which isn't to say that I stopped yogic practice but I never went back to kriya lifestyle, so of my system I can't any longer make claims.

I sit and discuss with the Lama sometimes how it doesn't matter so much what practices I do because they all melt back into that same thing from which they came so where's the benefit of spiritual exercises? And I usually am believing that because after all, spiritual practice cannot be materialized and so to what degree will one ever recoup their energy expended in that quest?

Adjustments are made as one walks, one can't determine what steps one will make on the path. Sometimes opposite tracks lead to switchbacks traversing obstacles which blocked one.

What one really transverses is ones own mental glow, to illumine the shadow or the ineffable.
