Ok so tommorow im going to run up to the harris teeter an get me some of that bronners but i dont know which one to get they had lavender, pepermint, and tea tree so if you know a good one to get tell me an tell me which bottle to get cause they got soaps liquid shampoos an all kinds of stuff by bronners.
i like tea tree and i use the bar soap kind because its easier, but i rub it on my hands first instead of straight on my hair because then it doesnt leave residue the liquid one you have to dilute or something
i use tea tree because it helps with dandruff. i like the smell too, very earthy. i like peppermint but its getting cold here and the peppermint soap makes me freeze when i get out of the shower, even in the summer. i get the castile soap, in a medium size 5 dollar bottle. i use another empty shampoo bottle to dilute the soap into. i do about 12 or 16 parts water to 1 part soap.
because Dr bronners 18 in 1 castile soap is a concentrated soap. in its concentrated form it may leave residue in your hair. Dr bronners is famous for producing generous lather from only a few drops.
i use dr. b's tea tree in liquid form, and i just put a drop or two in my hands, rub them around, and apply to the hair followed by some heavy duty rinsing. i haven't had any residue problems yet.
i live almond ot lavander fot body but for dreads i stick to teatree you want the 18 in 1 magic (or classic its called both) soap noy the shampoo u should dilute it for 3 treasons its made super concentrated to be diluted in different strengths for dofferent uses at 12-1 it wont leave residue and foinbaly diluting makes it last 12 tmes as long
I think you just mix it with water, but wait for someone who has used it instead of taking my advice.
I washed my hair today with bronners. i did 1 cap full soap and 12 cap fulls water. My hair still looks and feels oily. Should I use it full strength?
I already posted this but wanted to share it here, too I have found that mixing the Bronner's and water in a squirt bottle really help with ensuring I don't have to remix 2 or 3 times during one shampooing. I can conserve and direct the very liquid shampoo with the Peri bottle. Once the bottle is half way gone, I refill and use the remainder. I basically use 1 and 1/2 bottle full = 12oz of water with that one squirt of Bronner's. Peri Bottle (click for a link) . Fill it up most of the way and then just give a wee squirt of Bronner's into. I have never measured but I after squirting more and then less into the peri bottle full of water I found an extremely personalized dilution that rocks. Some people will tell you they have had to use Bronner's full strength, or half strength, or drops per gallon. So what I am saying is, don't get too caught up on the diltution. I know it's expensive, so don't go overboard, but just play around with it a bit, be flexible in your expectations and patient for results. I have never used a Bronner's bar but so far have only heard good things about them If you find you don't like the scent you can buy the unscented Bronner's and add your own EO's or nothing at all. I use the unscented. I dig it. Good luck to you
