okay so i didnt know where to post this.. anyway, i have a problem. I'm 17 and the time of my period has changed a lot since i first had it, but usually i have my period on the first few days of each month.. now, i still haven't had my period this month, first i thought it was late, but two weeks passed and still nothing. the funny thing is that it's impossible that i'm pregnant because i havent had sex for almost half a year. i found out that a lot of other things can cause a missed period, like eating disorders, stress, and so on.. so i thought it might be because lately my life has been pretty stressful: i had a very important, very difficult exam, and i spent months preparing for it, up to the last days before the exam, those days i couldnt learn more than two hours because my head would hurt so much that i had to stop.(anyway, i passed the exam, got the results yesterday) in addition to this, there is a guy i think i love but i haven't told him, and i worry a lot about this.. and there was another guy, i dated him for a very short time but i dumped him and later i felt bad. yeah, and my family life isn't exactly cheerful either. i can't find another explanation for my missed period, but stress and worrying too much lately (even worrying about my period) should i just forget about this? i mean, is this normal? should i wait till next month? should i take a pregnancy test just to be sure? damn.. i would appreciate help. thank you
Well if you haven't had sex and you don't get your period next month. You might want to consider going on birth control. That makes you get your period. I had to go on it cause I only got it once in one year, so what you are experience is completely normal. I also have an aunt who only gets her period once every 3 months. Its completely normal to miss a period if you are stressed. If you stress more about not getting it, it can make it worse. You should have anything to worry about. Just keep an eye on it and if the problem presists go to the doctor and just have them put you on birth control. Tiffany
Its completly normal, your period just might not be regular anymore, i mean i get my period about 4times a year, Ive talked to my doctor N he says its normal, but gettin on birth control would regulate me, So idk it just might be that.
