To quote Hunter Thompson ""Hallucinations are bad enough. But after a while you learn to cope with things like seeing your dead grandmother crawling up your leg with a knife in her teeth. Most acid fanciers can handle this sort of thing."

Since my first experiment I have seen things different, not all the time and not all positive but different. No movie or photo can really explain things like the trees above melting together in shades of green forming one giant tree. Or seeing Winnie the Pooh in a double decker canoe paddling across your Limp Bizkit t-shirt. It is all surreal the sounds the images the loss of total control over your body. It leaves you longing for that feeling and savoring it if only for a few minutes when you reach it in your day to day life.

haha, yeah it''s hard to picture who I was before lsd. now "who I am" is sort of a funny irrelevant trivia question. after first dosing, I became a believer in universal love when before I was colder and detached, preferring it that way. I thought fraternal love was a false invention from society's power structure for the purpose of mind control. while this can be true, lucy overwhelmed me with undeniable love for all ppl and things. now it doesn't matter who or what I look upon, all things are interconnected and nothing is wasted or meaningless. also now I know the value of being "fully present". doesn't matter what: a tv show, a tree, someone talking...to have your mind totally silent and to give total attention to a given thing, like a kid even. things are vibrant and beautiful and full of soul.

lol yeah, there have been all these 1 sentence questions that i could honestly write volumes about.

before acid i was more of an existentialist natural selection advocate. now im way more spiritual and beleive in alot of the ideals of eastern religion even though i don't really advocate any single religion.

Well, I've changed a whole lot since the first time I tripped (and I was already changing a lot leading up to it), so it's hard for me to say what changes LSD has brought on. Some of the things I know were greatly influenced by LSD and LSD-inspired writings are:

-becoming vegetarian. Meat is really gross as hell when you're tripping, although I never had any moment of realization or anything. I wanted to become a veggie for unrelated reasons, but my experiences with meat while tripping certainly didn't hurt.

-valuing the present moment for what it is... going with the flow... acceptance of good and bad emotions

-related the above, I have tried to let go of the perfectionism that has dominated my life so much. It's a work in progress, but the insanity of tripping helped me to realize that any attempt to organize your life perfectly or to micromanage your destiny is utterly futile. Of course that doesn't mean one should "let yourself go" in the negative, not-taking-care-of-yourself, slob-like way... it's all about moderation.

Allen, you remember when you and I were practicing yoga while waiting for our blotters to kick in?
That was one of my fondest memories from hanging out with you and expanding our minds. My other favorite was that night in the early Summer when I was living with Amanda in her apartment, and you came over that one night and we hung out around the hammock over the hill, smoking herb and talking about God. Wasnt that the night when a bunch of kids came over that none of us knew? haha :)

err, my point is, as these questions are made by new members with post counts ranging anywhere from 1 to 3, are the members asking such questions actually legit?
food for thought in my mind.

  12. Yeah, I've been noticing/wondering this also...

Of course I remember. You kiddin' me? :)

Blessed memories, for sure. I have gained a tremendous amount from our relationship, and we definitely need to kick it up a notch and plan a visit soon, or at least a phone call :p

Those kids came over and they were shooting off fireworks and Kat FLIPPED OUT at Brian hahaha. How's Brian doing?

Oh, and we can't forget listening to Genesis that night :) Meditating with Brian at High Rock... I didn't need any blotter that morning to be at one with that sea of trees!

It made me go from doubting and thinking to focusing and knowing. Always seems to bring back that unconditional joy to my life. Good ole lsd.

I guess that's how I could sum it up in a few sentences.

The interpretation of these experiences is obviously quite subjective, especially because a lot of it involves tricky dualities (knowing is knowing how little you know, you must let go to gain control, etc.) - but that said, my experience with LSD was pretty much exactly the opposite.

Yea me too, and that little festival was so much fun :)
Brian is doing ok, he finally broke up with Kat. He lives in Ner Jersey now, and works at NBC in Philly. We just went up to Maine with him for a week, for camping and hiking and stuff :)

    How you been? :)

Perhaps I should elaborate, or maybe you can lol. I know what's in front of me at this moment and that's well enough as far as 'knowing' goes. When I speak of knowing I don't speak of mental concepts or the idea of having some 'thing' figured out. There's obviously so much more to life than we can ever comprehend with our mind. Everything the thinking mind knows is subjective.

Dualities are of the mind and created by the mind as soon as you start to interpret one thing as good and the next as bad, in this sense, rising above judgement is rising above duality. It is as it is as they say, I leave it at that.

In what sense are your experiences the opposite of what I had to say? I'd like to know if that's cool.

    Peace :cheers2:
