i eat a lot of jamaican food, the area i live in has a lot of jamaicans.
i couldnt go vegetarian, theres to much good food that i've had that i couldnt go with out.
plus my brothers g/f is a vegetarian and i despise her, not because shes a vegetarian but because shes annoying as crap.

jamaican dread culure follows the ital diet.. vegayation closer to vegan
    indian dread culture also vegatarian
practucly all dread cultures are veg its a more spirutual diet so it only makes sence

u say you eat alotta jamaican food well theres pretty much a distinction there between the ital doets followed buy the rastas and the meat diets of the rude boys and the rest of the peoples

most dreads that dread for spiritual rewasons wouldnt dare harm an animal simply to eat..all that negative karma would be locked into theyre locks forever

im not saying that because u dread u should also be veg, just saying most dread cultures do honour a veg diet and follow a harm none philosophy

i think complete food supplements can help in several vit/min deficiencies so i think taking one is the best option.

sorry ot, but i always find myself thinking about cutting meat out because thats just one less animal dieing to feed me... but then don't you kill billions of microorganisms everyday just so your body functions? then i try making the distinction between plants and animals as lifeforms so im just like what the hell?

    :piggy:

as for the question, anything that you ingest to make your hair healthy is going to make your dreads healthy right? i'd list some nutritional sites but i don't know any off the top of my head. bad sign eh?

Yeah dude... that is the classic delema. Take a flesh and blood baised life form, and make it into food. Or take a cellulose plant baised life form.. Both are the same in a way because its all living, and humans require ingesting other life forms to survive....
I was not indending that debate though at all with my thread originally though, and Im not sure why it keeps getting so side-tracked?
    But its all gravy.....lol

With all the nutrition in hemp seed butter I have to believe it is good for your hair.

This thread has intrigued to me. Shortly after starting the dread process my diet changed, but I didn't quite put two and two together.

I haven't become Vegan or anything, but I did start listening to my body. I've lost 30 pounds since I finally decided to let go and listen.

Thats a really cool story Knittah....The journey somehow seems to do that to us. Like the body has a way of telling us what we need to ingest, meat, veg, fruits...etc everything we crave that is a solid building block of nutrition..
