My hair used to come down to my waist, I has gotton shorter on it's and now comes down to my boobs. I have never cut it, just trimmed it. It also used to be healthy looking and wavy and thicker and now it is naturally frizzy-wavy but has some healthy looking sections. The only thing that I had done different while it got shorter was using clarifying shampoo because my scalp was really oily. While it was really long I had used moisterizing shampoo. The clarifying shampoo is really drying and may have damaged it. I really think that my hair has just changed because I have gotton older ( even though there are plenty of older people have nice long hair) and the new hairs that are coming in are just not coming in as long or nice. Anyone else have this same problem?

what do you mean by getting older?
I noticed a texture change from 17-23, another as I got close to 30, and recently (at 40).
I changed my environment a bit, too.
have you moved, changed a diet, anything?

Haven't moved, diet hasn't changed, it's gotton better if anything, It got really long at the age of 25 and started getting shorter at age 28. Maybe it was from a mini stroke I had at 28 (from ephedrine I took for energy. I took way too much). Then it just kept on from then and now I'm 35 now. Maybe other drugs contributed too, but now I'm off of them and I use a good heavy conditioner on it now. I was using Pantene deep hair repair but Nexus Humetress is the ultimate best heavy conditioner and moisturizer.

The clarifying shampoo is the problem. You are only supposed to use a clarifying shampoo maximum once a week, minimum once a month, depending on the shampoo. It strips all the garbage out of your hair, from all the hair products you may use. Do not use it as your regular shampoo!

Yeah that stuff is very harsh on your hair. I used to use it all the time because my oily scalp. Now I using Frutis Length and Strength all the time. Hope it helps. I also use Nexus Humectress moisturizing heavy conditioner about 4 times a week and leave it in my hair overnight. It's better than snything I have ever used,
