If you really disagree but don't wanna start to argue about it you could always response tactically by saying the guy's gorgeous/sexy/beautiful/cute/etc as well Best response from the other person's view would probably be a nonverbile 'thank you' I guess. But yeah, if you wanna start a good argument about it, that's fine with me

theres the guys who will lie just to get you in the sack and then there is the guys who will tell the truth. Its your job to find the ones who tell the truth. But a simple "thank you" is all thats needed.
I'd be inclined to agree with ad10, beauty being in the eye of the beholder and so forth. No need to complicate an honest compliment with a reflection of your own low self image, just be glad that someone can find beauty in you where you cannot.
