Although I use it infrequently since it is addictive. But nothing beats the slow warmth and buzz you get from a glass. It is addictive so only use it once or twice a month, that is what I do.
I was largely let down by poppy tea. I ordered 75 medium pods off ebay and was very excited to give the tea a try. I started off with 5 heads and went up to as many as 15 and didn't even achieve that much of a worthwhile high. It also kept me up all damned night for some reason. I'm sure I did the extraction correctly as well....ah well. The best high I got from the stuff was actually when I decided to make tea out of all the leftover stems (which do actually contain the opiate alkolids)
Okay... if you enjoy large doses of Hydrocodone, Oxy, or codeine, will this stuff be the biggest let down ever? I've heard that its only for lightweight opiate users? As of now I don't plan on ever trying this, although I took a low dose once and felt nothing.
If you are a user of narcotics then the tea is no good. Also if the pods were good and you are not a user of narcotics, 5 heads would cause O/D. Do not underestimate the poppy pod, you can and will O/D if you take too much and poppy tea takes 3 hours for peak.
-tea is good in most situations, just maybe need more -5pods unless they are some kind of freakishly large ones that also happen to be very potent will not cause od, 5 mediums will only give a mild buzz to a opiate naive person -you can't just randomly pull something like that outta ur ass and say five will cause od, and it does not take 3h for peak... maybe in your situation this is all true but in general it is way off
Woooaa man, watch the knowledge. Do you know how many pods it takes on average to get a gram of opium? 5 pods will not cause an O/D unless your talking about some, crazy ass hybrid poppys.
I love opiates as much as anyone else, but something seems really creepy and weird about making/drinking poppy tea to get high. I don't know, it's probably just me.
poppy tea isn't too weak for people with a tolerance, you just need a higher dose, as with every other opiate. I would say poppy tea is better for people with a tolerance, because it is cheaper to take a large dose of this costs less than a large dose of street opiates. In general, poppy tea can be good because you are safer for legal purposes, and because you get more of an opiate cocktail rather than a single substance. However, you don't get the rush of shooting/snorting opiates, or the convenience of just eating a pill.
Last time I did poppy tea with two friends all three of us threw up multiple times the next day because we only got like 4 hours of sleep.
i got the best out of the pods when i ground them up fine and then just poured some juice on them and drank the grounds. it tastes yucky - but it worked better for me this way and i didn't get constipation near as bad. but beware - i was a junkie for years and have been clean now for yearsso i thought i could get away with trying this. i was wrong. when i started doing pods i only did one at first and the most i ever did was 3 and after a couple of weeks of doing this like 2 to 3 times a week - i actually got w/d and started having to use it daily to not feel sick. your body remembers. this may not happen so quick if you are not a past opiate abuser.... but watch out. the w/ds are no joke. i am just glad i noticed this before i started to really get into them. right now i am doing a taper by measuring the powder with a teaspoon and have gotten down to one teaspoon a day - but i still have the w/d when i try and go every other day. it keeps me up all night too if i actually do enough to get high. only the first time did i actually get nods - every time afterwards i just felt a lot of energy. i think that this is not too good of a high for all of the side effects personally. but for someone who is sick and can't get their drug of choice i know it is a godsend and it is supposed to be easier to kick than H - but i don't know...:hat: i can't believe this stuff. djh
I've used both pods and seeds and found that good seeds can be even better, and far cheaper. Lately www.thenoddingturtle.com has great seeds, though once in a while, www.unwashedseeds.net are pretty good too.
