If you take acid in the dark can you still see bright colors? This may seem like a stupid question but i havent done acid yet and without reinforcement of an answer for certain questoins that irk me I will go crazy when i finally do.
Yes, I'll quote one of my trip reports; My one buddy decided to turn the lights out, and it was the greatest idea ever. There we sat, complete darkness, the only lights were emitting from the digital display on the radio. The music was sending vibrations and colors and all sorts of geometrical patterns off itself. I then felt the strength to stand up and enjoy this feeling of ecstasy. The music and colors and feelings reminded me of those I've read about in psych trance concerts and ecstasy use. Although never have used ecstasy, I for some reason felt like this was it. It was beautiful.
here's an excerpt from one of mine in the dark: As I closed my eyes, I felt as if I were water, and the visuals were still there but my liquified self poured through them as quickly as they came. A prominent visual at this time was a human figure, rotating slowly with arms extended overhead as if in a graceful ballet position, the arms following the rotating motion of the body like trails...think of a jellyfish rotating slowly and its tentacles follow and form a swirling vortex shape around the body. It was a quintessential model of serenity. But more was happening with the image; the figure seemed as if in a static pouch, or cocoon...some kind of membrane surrounding her. And outside of the membrane was a current of particulate energy, flowing into and around the human creature. As it passed through, its particles mixed with the particles that made up the graceful humanoid, and slowly and gently pulled them away from the body, down along the current it was heading. The humanoid was unwittingly releasing its own liquified particulate matter into the energy stream. But it was at such a slow pace that you wouldn't be able to tell if you didn't know otherwise. here's the whole thread of that solo night trip: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=301550
yes you def can on one of my trips we sat in the dark and lisned to music for awhile any there were patterns and stuff all over my walls flowing with the music
I was once with a friend in a sensory deprivation room... I looked at her, and I could see bioluminescent dots streaming through her, like a jelly fish, mostly blue, but rainbow distortion all around. I looked at her face, which I couldn't see, but I could, because we were emitting light, and she looked like every possible person...
man complete darkness wen ur trippin is great. we all did this crazy combo of mescaline some tabs some 2cb and a couple hits of dmt and everyones face had a gridline of blue melding into green over their whole body gently turning with the sounds of the music. it was like power grid over their whole body quite magnificent
i feel like total darkness (or as close as you can get to it) really shows you the true essence of the psychedelic experience at least in regards to the visual sense. in the dark i feel like i just get unfiltered, raw images of energy and it's movement. and i likes it.
well this isn't complete darkness, but me and my freinds were exploring the woods in the middle of the night and we saw patterns like crazy in the trees. also, i saw fractals like mad when i covered my eyes, and i could explore them as if each new pattern was a new area within my mind to explore
