Somebody in these forums said they would vote for Bush because of his "morals". Well, exactly what morals does Bush have, other than for the pretend ones he portrays to win over Christian voters? Look, I have nothing against religious people -- aside from their bigotry and hypocrisy -- but I don't see how anyone who hasn't been totally brainwashed can buy into this nonsense that Bush has "morals", just because he says he's against abortion and stem cell research When Bush was governor of Texas, he presided over 152 executions -- more than any governor in US history. Since the invasion of Iraq, over 10,000 Iraqis have been killed, many of them innocent women and children. Let's not also forget the 1,000+ American troops that have since been killed in Iraq because of Bush's wreckless, blood-thirsty foreign policy. So, how can anyone who hasn't been completely BRAINWASHED by religion say that Bush has morals?
I have met many people who don't like Bush as a person, but are voting for him because of his "Christian" values and morals. What's weird is they also say they're voting for him because of his stance on gun control. God I hate the south. I don't have a problem with Christianity, but there are too many Christians that need to focus more on a man's actions, rather than what he says or how he looks. These are usually the same Christians who think they're going to Heaven just because they go to church every sunday.
i strongly dislike bush, most of the time he and chaney look like they are struggling to keep human form
youre right matt, but this whole topic is making me almost physically ill. i cant wait for this election to be over and done with....
If poopy head is re elected, nothing will be over and done with. If Botox Man is elected, nothing will be over and done with. Get it? It doesn't end. It's hard to believe that those who seek that kind of power are out for the people and not themselves.
matt, what a terrible thing to say about reptiles! i've heard lizards & snakes at least make very good pets... i'd say they were insects, but that'd be a pretty low blow to bugs.
Bush fits the horrible little niche that christian southern conservatives have been looking for. He looks like a guy they would go to church or play golf with. They like him better as a person because he doesn't intimidate them by actually being intelligent. They ignore stories about him laughing at a party about a woman he put to death's final plea for her life. personally, whoever I vote for must be way smarter than me and also despise Jesus
I would bird, if you had been born over here in "gods favorite country" you'd have my vote. Of course you would also have to use a southern accent, because we all know how spiritually superior they are down there. In fact just today I read how southerners are upset because Halloween falls on a sunday, and thats Jesus' day, he apparantly owns it. This is just one example of the important issues they worry about down there.
you two are no better than the people you criticise if your words are sincere. I'm tired of yankees bad-mouthing the South and then moving here! In Brooklynese: Fuck You! (and not everybody down here is a blind, bible-thumpin' asshole! and anyways youall have at least as many assholes "Up No'th!" prolly more, based on the northerners who move down here.) Fuck You! Stay up North!
Speaking of Jesus and Halloween, I am going to be Jesus for Halloween. There is a church in the small town a mile from where I live, and I am going to go to their front door and preach. Who knows what these crazy hicks'll do....
AND speaking of Halloween, this'll only be my second year of celebrating it, as my dumbass parents would never let me because "it's the devil's holiday" and "we dont' have no satan-worshippin in this house".... yea.... I know people here who're pissed that Halloween's on a sunday cause "them devil-worshippers defilin the sabbath blah blah".... damn redneck christians.
almost forgot about this... well, I aint never met anybody for Bush who wasn't completely brainwashed by religion, so it kinda puts my brain in a tizzy. hm... that would be strange, non-religious bush supporters. hm. strange concept.
