1. Pretend your cat's tail is a conductor's baton and that you are an orchestra. Improvize a musical composition in time to your pet's swishing tail. If your cat is like my Perky, he will purr loudly but keep giving you these "Are you crazy?" looks, and try to throw you off the beat by twitching his tail in odd ways... 2. If you have multiple cats, pretend you are a cat yourself, get down on all fours, and try to join in their social life! Especially if they sometimes like to fuss and fight, if you join in their conflicts and growl at them it will totally unnerve them!!!
I act like a mime for like a minute and my cats won't let me near them for hours! I don't even put on the makeup anymore. hehe.
I used to do that. lol, when they were kittens I used to get stoned and sit in the floor with them and stuff. It was really weird.
i just got one today and it drives Eleanor crazy, its a great way to play with them without actually playing... i felt like God, just sitting there waving this little pen around while eleanor followed the light all over the place, too fun...
the ultimate way to freak out your cat is to balance a bannana skin over it's back! Sounds random but is so much fun; they try crawling out from underneath it. My cat spent ages walking backwards round the kitchen before i felt guilty enough to take it off, lol. It only works a few times, though- they work it out after a while and ignore it, he he
Smiling Rose: Haha you're a horrible person Ooh! Buy a laser-pointer! Then make the cat follow it up the wall and onto the ceilingI spent an hour doing that!
LOL i sorda did the same thing, except i put some head bands on her once, and yeah dude, laser pointers are so fun, i dont need any other toys for her anymore and she gets PLENTY of excercise, she never gets tired of the damn thing
My cat freaks himself out He will be fine once second, and then all the sudden his ears go back and he bounces straight up in the air and then takes off running and jumps up on the side of a tree. Then he jumps down and he goes back to normal. It's cute, he did it again today.
This ones good. Blow up a party balloon then rub it on your head to build up the static charge. Put the balloon on the cats back and watch it freak out.
sometimes cats get really restless and nervous before storms because of something(forget exactly, saw it on animal planet) in their tail, they know ahead of time when their coming, Eleanor is like my new weather man...
ooooh ooohh!!!!! someone said laser pointer!!! yea you can do that with cats but the best is little kids at the mall!!! from the second floor if there is one. when they are walking with their moms they are looking all around and the mothers are shopping. the little kids see it and follow it!! do circles and stuff. and sometime they will get there moms attention then you turn it off and its soooooo funny!!!haha i know im sick but if you saw it you would laugh too. peace, bob
fractual, im pretty sure with animals more sensitive ears they can sense the changes in air pressure which indicates a change in the weather. peace, bob
actually, with cats its all the static in their tail that is very sensitive to lightning, sordove like a magnet i guess, although it may have something to do with their ears also...thats interesting though, a guy i met a while ago said he went to these tom brown survival tracking and philosophy camp/classes, and they teach you how to tell all sorts of things just from the way certain things behave, the native americans used to do a lotta things like that, see we dont need great big machines to tell us what to look out for, we really do just need to get back to the land...
getting back to land sounds good. as far as weather goes if i could read the signs id trust the animals over the weathermen anyday. peace, bob
