it seems like whenever you go to the doctor they try a bunch of different meds. my doctor has a list of all the meds ive tried, most failed, and then says, "lets try this" after looking through what ive been on, and all doctors test us on the newest drug to see if it helps different disorders. I get panic attacks occassionaly, and seizures plus anxiety. and when zyprexa (a anti-psychotic) came out a few years ago, they tested it on me and alot of ppl i know who went to the doctor to get help.

what's your views and opinions on the prescibed drugs that your on?

did you have to take alot of different kinds before you found the right one?

I stay away from the doctor. I haven't been in probably 5 years... I'm not so sure that is a great thing, now that I think about it.
Either way, I try to stay away from medications of any type. Lucky I guess.

You are right to be cautious. They do experiment, they do throw drugs at you and hope they work (and if not then so what-theyll throw some more!) and yes youre a guinea pig!

Im not saying dont take any meds, Im saying listen tot hat voice inside you and do your own research before accepting what they give and putting it in YOUR body

Im currently in the process of getting a new Psychiatrist. I really believe that my last one was a pill pusher. And never offered me counseling or anything, just kept on prescribing me meds. Im on 3 different meds for treating my bipolar. And hopefully this new doctor can wean me off at least 2 of them.

i have a pill pusher, tried to give me loads of serequil freebies, sleeping pills, antipschychotics (when i keep reminding her that they just make me trip out, i cant take them) but i research meds for myself, and all the side effects, and what med is for what, and alot of times, they start prescribing, and i tell them... stop, no. THIS is what i need. and everytime the doc has agreed, and alot of times ive corrected them. its rediculious! whos the doctor?

I used to feel this way.
Seems like I was on dozens of different ADHD medications throughout my school years.
I don't take them anymore, though.

Now I just have my epipen. And .. an inhaler. And nuvaring.
