Besides your genetic factor what other factors can lead to breast cancer?

Nobody really totally knows all the causes. Hormones is certainly a biggy. Hormones are influenced by age at puberty and menopause, number of children, age at birth of children, breastfeeding, and hormone replacement therapy. Weight is also a factor as is drinking. Diet, exercise and environemental toxins likely play a role. Age is a huge factor. In many cases, no identifiable risk factor is involved.

Why do you ask? Do you have a specific concern?

NO! Deodorant is NOT a cause or a factor, nor are bras. These are urban myths.

Actually my maternal aunt was suffering from this deadly disease and I saw her sufferings. She was suffering from breast cancer that which spread to kidney. even touched the infected swollen area. I fear does touching those infected area has anything to do with cancer. Have I got the chance of getting the same disease?

two things are certain, cancer loves environments that are highly acidic and low in oxygen. monitor the pH of your urine and saliva, there is proven correlation between one's health status and how acidic or alkaline your body is.

Breast cancer is not contageous. You cannot catch it from touching someone who has cancer. Don't worry about that.

The fact that you have a close relative that had breast cancer could mean that you are more at risk. If you have multiple relatives that have/had breast cancer, especially at a young age, it could mean that there is a genetic link. Only about 10% of breast cancers are genetic, however.

baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can help fight off cancer. even walter reed medical center published an article about it one time. when a cell becomes deprived of too much oxygen and lives in too acidic of an environment. the cell must therefore make certain adjustments in order to not die. in other words, it settles into the transition of turning from healthy tissues and cells into cancerous ones.

Breast cancer has many many causes...age, lifestyle, genetic fctors, exposure to external carcinogens, family history, hormones, the list goes on!

The causes are far too many to go into, but what you need to bear in mind, is that someone may have all the risk factors (say a strong family history, be of the right age, lead an unhealthy lifestyle) and still NEVER develop breast cancer. On the other hand, someone may not have any risk factors and still end up developing the disease.
Such is the nature of cancer...random mutations.

Hydrogen peroxide was mentioned as a treatment... this does not work!! There has been absolutely no scientific studies that proove it works. The rationale behind it is understandable but very crude. I've only done a quick literature search and found nothing that prooves it...but don't take it from me, the American Cancer Society state:
"there is no scientific evidence that hydrogen peroxide is a safe, effective or useful cancer treatment"

Feel free to PM me if you want some journal articles disproving this myth.

And such is the nature of risk factors. A risk factor is not a cause. Correlation is not causation.

And there never will be. You think the cancer industry wants to find a cheap cure that anyone can use?

That is the *last* place I would go for information I could trust.

    Yes I do!

Just because there is money to be made, it doesn't mean everyones motives are profit driven. Im sure there are plenty of researchers and clinicians looking for a 'cheap' cure.
Don't be so cynical, it's bad for you :)

Why? As far as I know it's a perfectly legitimate well respected organisation?!

    Peace

Fair enough! Let's be thankful we live in a society where we have many healthcare options and can make informed choices regarding treatment plans!!

And deodrant doesn't cause cancer....honest :) Though it can kill you when used in a confined space...so don't be too liberal with it!

Yes that is very true. And here are reasons why people are too acidic 1. Acid Ash producers which are food such as carbohydrates, proteins, dairy, and processed foods. This does not mean you cannot eat carbs and protein, but not to over due it. Which so many people do. Stress and negative emotions are also acidic. The body wants to survive in a slightly alkaline environment so do the opposite of stress, such as stillness, meditation, yoga, positive emotions.

THere are many different potential causes of breast cancer, food habits and environmental pollution, the breast not getting enough attention, held in emotions. And plastics, a lot of plastic products have synthetic estrogen in them. That's why there has been a higher amount of men getting breast cancer too. This is my theory, but i also think the water we drink too, since there are so many women on birth control, I do believe this affects the breasts, and hormonal functions.
