I live in Kansas, and I have done quite a bit of research on this, but I can't find any info to support this claim. One of my brother-in-law's friends went to the hospital for treatment. She awoke with paralysis in her left side and major seizures. She went to the local hospital for emergency treatment. The hospital did some blood tests, and found trace amounts of marijuana in her system. They refused treatment, and confiscated all of her medication. (She's on meds for grand mall seizures, and other medical issues.) They told her that the seizures and paralysis was caused by the marijuana! From what I understand, because she tested positive for weed, that constitutes Internal Possession of drugs. The hospital is now doing this test as a standard battery of tests on all patients. I can't believe that this is true, but this woman is my age, and still suffering from these major, and life threatening issues, because the hospital will not treat her. Could our government have gone so far as to pass this type of law? And, how can they refuse emergency treatment without the liability and responsibility of someone losing their life?
wow this is incredibly fucked up, you should really speak out about this and get some attention, since it is a life and death matter possibly.
YA arrange rallies write people in the senate who are compassionate Turn that town on its fucking ear man thats horrid
Seems extremely unlikely. NORML shows no internal possession laws for Kansas. If the hospital was running blood work, why would they look for drugs when this person has a previous history of seizures. Any doctor that blames paralysis on marijuana shouldn't be practicing.
well welcome to america where the people are dumb the laws are bull shit and people listen to what they hear on tv
