Umm, not sure if you're ready for this but, since you asked and in the interest better inter-species communication, here goes...Cats (or dogs, or any other animal for that matter) don't have names. Could you imagine a couple of lions, "George...hey, George! The dead zebra is getting green". "Yes, Martha. Be right there") Anything you name it will be for your peace of mind, something cats possess naturally. Animals do not have names but they do respond to certain sounds, emotional inflections, etc. If human vocal systems were capable of sounding like a can opener a lot of cats would probably be named something like Eheheheheheh Dink (Dink for short?). I've always just let animals sort of name themselves. Call em everything in the book and see how they respond. This theory sometimes has interesting results. A childhood friend, using this elf-naming system, had two dogs that answered to Pud and Butt Hole.
haha actually this is quite fitting. i keep trying to imagine myself calling him all these different names and none of them "fit" right. i took him to the vet today and when i made the appointment they asked me if i had a name and i told them no, and then when i walked in they were like, "oooh this is no-name" i thought that was cute. i keep thinking it will just come to me. you guys have some REALLY good suggestions, and i have a looong list. i think he will pick it when he's ready.
