I always have mine pushed back with a folded bandana or headband. Simply because my hair line has receded a bit and I'm sensitive about it, so I don't like people seeing them. When my hair gets longer I will wear them down as it will cover the lack of hair. What do you guys do with yours? post pics too!

You dreads are so awesome soaringeagle...
How is it that you kept such thick hair for 41 years? I'm sixteen and my hair is so thin, and it's receded at the front alot. You sure are lucky.

    simple
1/2 those years dreaded naturealy..no salon no products no gunks
my dad started going bald at 16
my mom died her hair since she was 16 and founbd her 1st grey
i let my hair do what it wanted and it paid me back but flourishing
you abuse your hair and it will suffer...you treat it ruight and it will treat you right

if your hair was already having problems what possessed you to alow someone to put glue in your hair..and wax...and ..backcomb? backcombuing alone can rip aloyy hait out at the roots
if your already thinning then u chose the absolutely worse way to go
it can be saved though if you completely reverse its course..remove all the damaging crap and treat it gvery gently..no palm rolling no root rubbing only natural stuff
an ital or close to t diet cany hurt either

the answet yo your question is..i stopped abusing my hair at 16
    or maybe 18..
its only been cut once since thenhas never had gunk in it since i was 16 or so..and its always been treatted right
well except being stepped on n stuff hasnt exactly been the best for it

I didnt do anything with my hair apart from cut it until i was 16 and it started receding since i was like 11. and it's not thinning, i just have fairly thin hair.
You're actually a very rude person and there's really no need for it

i put mine in a ponytail, or a "loop" as i call it... a ponytail i don't pull through all the way. or i use a headband. it's not all long enough to fit back, so it's a pain in the ass a lot of the time, lol! :)

and SE, you know i love you man, but kiwii has a point... that post was kinda rude. we all have our stories, we all have our journeys... and no one has the right to make fun of anothers' journey. you make it abundantly clear on here that you believe the only "natural" thing for hair is to leave it alone, don't rub it, don't twist it, just "play with it a lil" whatever that means. we get the point. i think it's REALLY obvious by now that a LOT of people on this site have had really bad experiences of being duped by websites or salons or whatever (myself included) and your post came across as though you think people should just automatically KNOW that things like this are harmful for dreads/hair/the scalp. ok, for some of us it's common sense. for others of us, we had to learn the hard way. THAT DOES NOT MAKE US DUMB OR STUPID OR DESERVING OF RECEEDING HAIRLINES.

goddammit... i'm a pretty fucking patient person, and SE, i love you dearly brother. but sometimes you're just so holier than thou.... eh... it tests my patience.

like i said, we all have our journeys, and we all have our things...

kiwii... just so you know... my lover has had a receeding hairline for quite some time. and he was deep in some wierd family bullshit and negative energy and lots of stress. we've recently worked really hard at getting out of such negative vibes, and his hairline has started to advance. his hair is growing back! just throwing that out there for ya.... :D

naked sorry that spilled over from another thread..i spent several hours trying to tell kiwi that gluing his hair was a bad idea and he not only couldnt get that through his thick skull even thoiugh its plenty odvios..he threattened to hack my account and change my passwords just for trying to set him straight..
he was starting to remind me of tha6t candlehead that was banned after a minth od afressivly deffending his waxy mess then finaly realizing what a mess he has then went through thread after thread telling everyone how ugly theyre dreads were..remember him? kiwi was starting to remind me of him in how agressivly he was defending such an odvios mistake as glue in his dreads..i guess after several hours of trying to convince him of the odvios i got alittly frustrated\
he not only got scammed but was deffending the scammer..but hey im done and i'll leave iyt up to others to explain why glue in dreads aint a good idea..

naked i didnt mean to come off as a jerk but damn after 4 or 5 hours with him insisting his 3 month old dreads are "mature" and comparing his dreads with glue in em t o the difference between a bike and a car like glkued dreads atr an upgrade or improvement on the ancient art of dreading..seriusly how can u not act like a jerk alittle when u just cant pound reality through the glue covering his sckill?

i ap[pologize for comming iff rude byut..i hope ya all have a lil easierr time explaining to him why he basicly got screwed..oh and hoipe uy can deal with his imature reactions as well when he threattensto hack your accounts just for trying to help him..

Eh, let 'em be a gluehead if it makes him happy...it seems like once people start arguing their perspective, they will stubbornly defend it to the death. Time is a great equalizer and he should learn the detriments of it in good time (I know I did with wax many years ago).
