Bank account is overdrafted, my baby is just getting over Chicken Pox, had to borrow money from friends for the power bill and truck payment, rent is due the 1st and I haven't been able to set any money aside for it yet, I won't bore you with the more gruesome details.

I just needed a poor me thread :(

I need a pick me up...hoping to grab a beer tonight with left over laundry quarters...hey - it's only $1.20 for a 16oz Bud LOL :piggy:

I just try to stay positive, and drink when i cant lol.... not in an alcoholic way but you know what i mean....much love xx

me too i have 3 kids with b-days rotating around christmas so this tie of the year everything goes to x-mas and b-days and i had to drop $600 on new tires and an alignment for my car, bad time of the year for an expense like that!!! my alignment was way off and i didnt know it and it had turn the hell out of all my tires on the inner sides
i just tell myself me and mine have our roof and our food, it's all good. this xmas will be tough but i'm sure next years will be better. same goes for you and everyone else too with various situations you will encounter in life :)

Thanks to everyone who replied. You are all so very right. Sometimes I just carry the burden myself. I don't have to carry the weight of all my miseries. But I forget that sometimes.

And fortunately, after explaining to the local bank manager the financial pinch we are in, she was more than happy to waive 2 of 3 fees leaving us with only one $35 overdraft charge (it was $105 in fees originally). THEN - I totally forgot that today was payday for a big consignment sale (it's held 2x a year). My sister picked up my check for me...I made $80. And the best part is that all I sold was toys (and a stroller). So I got rid of a bunch of junk and made some $. And that money made it like those NSF fees never happened. I now have +$23 in my account and from the looks of it will pay the next two bills on time and rent will only be one week late. Next week is inventory time at my hubby's work. So overtime will help a lot. Don't you love it when it all comes together? I really needed this.

If you're still reading, thanks...sorry to bore you guys. I just love y'all and feel safe to vent here :)

yeah and dont you hate it when you bounce it by like 1 or 2 dollars and you end up paying the $35 dollar fee, yeah i have bought a few packs of cigarettes that have ended up costing $40 a piece lol or the $40 hamburger you know what i mean

I know, right. We had an actual $40 in charges for the $105 fees. Craziness. But I also felt very humbled for a moment to learn that a banker would be compassionate and really hear what I was saying. She didn't have to remove two fees, she could have removed one (hell, that's all I asked her to do). But BAM - a $70 FEE disappeared. It makes me ill to know that the click of a button can erase someone's debt and/or ruin their credit. But she had mercy on me - but I had a damn good story (a true one).

I feel like I know you from somewhere. :piggy:

yay for things looking up! it's amazing how the universe takes care of you, eh?

do you have bank of america? cause they're always happy to waive fees for me when i explain that i'm broke, lol! either way, yippee for you!

we're kinda in a crazy situation right now too... i just quit my job so i can start working as a massage therapist, so we have VERY little money coming in right now (less than 600 a month) and we're getting evicted from our current housing.

but things ALWAYS work out for us when we follow our hearts, so that's what we're doing, no matter how much the rest of the world wants to make us feel like we need to freak the fuck out, lol!

considering most of the $750 billion bail out went to the banks you would think the least they could do is waive the overdraft fees for everyone!!! There's the good ol' US of A for ya...

Im in a similar situation....I'm just trying to stay positive. After 5 months of hell, things are turning around.

Keep hanging in there!!! Your luck will change!! =oD
