I'm taking my boy to see my grandparents today... he's going to stay with them for about a week, so I can get a break. I haven't had one since he was born, and I think I'm about to die...haha I'm gonna miss my little champ, though. But I need the sleep. I need to find some trouble to get into while he's gone. I'll be back tomorrow.... Don't start shit in the Love & Sex forum, because I don't want to come back and have to get in a bad mood first thing.
Haha? how old is your boy/ ...cause my wife is burning near the end of her candle too after my little boy's birth. I've even been giving her my portion of sleep, that is to say I stay up at night with Jr and let her sleep and then come home after work and let her get a nap in too. I think i can function on 3 hours a sleep a day but eventually for moms sake and mine something is going to have to give.
He's almost 21 months. At least she has you to help her out... I live with my mom and all, but I'm definitely stuck with every single baby duty. I totally don't mind that, since he's mine and not hers and all that, but it's really worn me out. How old is yours? It really helps to find someone to keep him and just take a little two day trip somewhere. I've been able to do that a couple of times, but after a while, you need some real time to yourself. Phew.... Congratulations, BTW....
OMG you have been at the baby batle a lot longer than us too. Our little guy is only 3 months and a half. Yeah you have to sharpen the old axe occasionally. If anyone gives you shit about taking a break from the young one (not that i think that they would but you never know) Tell 'em how can Moms raise a happy baby if Moms aint not happy herself. Enjoy... rest and recharge
hahaha...you guys are complaining about babies. You'd wish they were that small again once they hit 3! UrsusKind, we need more men like you out in the world! I don't know of ANY guys that are willing to get up with baby at night....hell, my man never even changed a diaper, unless he just HAD too!! Your wife is a very lucky lady
In a shameless attempt to raise my stock as a caring husband and excellent father..... But mostly to share my great night. Last night my wife went to eat with my mother and all the ladies from my moms side of the family in town and i got a whole evening of Daddy Baby time. We played with his toys and we made up songs and we just smilled and goofed ourselves into a stupor. I had the best night I've had in a long time just hanging out with my newest bestest bud. Had I known kids were this awesome I might have had four more by now. but Haha I'm getting more rest the last two days you my dear need some SLEEP I had a friend tell me once we take vacations from our lives so we can see how nice our lives really are.
So.... Noah's been gone for a day now. I slept till like 1:00 today for the first time in forever... it was awesome. But now, I'm lonely... I keep tiptoeing around the house trying not to wake him up, because I'm used to only having free time when he's sleeping...haha. I don't have anyone to play with! Waaaah! I talked to him on the phone, though, and my grandmother said he's been kissing my picture. Awwww.... he's so sweet. I think I might go see a show tonight to get my mind off of being even more alone than usual...haha
