well, i bought a bunch of overpriced stuff mentioned in the icky-sticky wax removal thread to use for deep cleansing. i was going to do it early in my locked life, but i decided i should wait a while before i do the cleanse so my hair has a chance to become tighter before they go soft for a day.

    i bought

    aloe vera gelly - small

    tea tree oil - tiny

    sea salt - medium (baggy)

    baking soda - medium (baggy)

    organic lemon juice - medium

and some wicked dr bronner's (pretty big) that i've already used and im about to use again.:drool5:

so is there anything i can do with these products for my hair in the meantime before i do a deep cleanse? i've read some of you use a sea salt spray and I figured i could combine my sea salt with water to make that?

Yup. Mix sea salt with water and put it in a spray bottle. Be careful not to use too much salt though, you don't want to completely dry your scalp out, that's bad.

If I use a salt spray more than once every two weeks to a months my hair gets completely brittle. I don't do it more than once every 6 months but I was just stating the maximum, but I don't want to use it that much. Nothing will replace time and patience.

For the bronners I just use a generous squirt. Enough to cover the bottom of the bottle I'm using but not much more than that. If you got the teatree oil bronners then you should need to use the concentrated tee trea oil very often. I'm 9 months in and don't need that kind of stuff yet. My hair is currently very well conditioned naturally.

i dont understand, why would you need extra tea tree oil if you already have some in the bronners?

I guess if you had a really itchy scalp or bad dandruff. I was just going from the list of stuff from your first post you had tee trea oil. I got Dr. Bronners with tea tree oil in it so I was I saying by doing that you can avoid buying the actual oil for a while, you may never have to.

i bought all this stuff at like a health food store and im pretty sure nothing came under 5 bucks other than the baking soda and sea salt. ill just drink the lemon juice i bought if i can get grocery store stuff for cheaper.

how about the tea tree and aloe? what is it good for? should i just put a few drips in with my bronners when i wash my hair? that sea salt too, tablespoons are great, but only with what im mixing it with. 2 tablespoons is going to be different with a cup and with a gallon.

im not sure what type of bronners i got. ill check when im less lazy. i know it has green paper on it and the stuff itself is like amber

Essential oils are going to be expensive, because they come in very concentrated amounts. I bought organic tea tree oil (jasons brand) for 10 bucks. A little pricy yeah, but it should last a long time.
