    I like these films...
Does there really need to be 10 films though?

    Yeah, they are ok.
Not the worse few hours you could spend in front of the TV.
Not sure how I will feel come Saw 10 though.

Why do you not like them?

Note: If you read your response back and it sounds slightly pretentious, noting: Why could it not have been in french or black and white or both...i'd probably get by not hearing about that.[IMG]

I meant to have that sorta affect.
I was just ribbing you a bit, just funnin' around.

Anyways, I just don't like them.
In my opinion more mindless crap put out by hollywood... ( and if that sounds pretentious, well shit, that's just how I am, I guess)

I've never seen one. Though I saw a still the other day of a guy with white supremacist tattoos strapped to a table. I'm always down with cutting up Nazis.

They are not deep works of art, no.
But they do raise themselves above the usual fair.
Deffinitly not:"Mindless crap out of hollywood" IMO.

Lionsgate (the films backers) are Canadian independant and produce half decent films.

    Oh well.
I'm not a big fan of many "horror" films. I guess it's just lost on me.

Look at them as "psychological thrillers" and you will be fine...:)

    Why not 10?

Friday the 13th spawned 12 sequels, Halloween 9 sequels, A Nightmare on Elm Street 8 sequels, and then of course theres the Hellraiser Series and The Wishmaster

Did those films have a deffinite franchise deal though?
Were they not just made on a rolling basis.
Saw has 5 in the bag for sure.
I think those other films were just trotted out as and when.

No franchise deal, but I did look forward with anticipation for each new release (which you kinda knew was coming)

Uhhh, but what ones were good? lol
Friday thew 13th, after the 2nd one, maybe the third were bad, I haven't seen all the Halloween movies so... Nightmare on Elm street, pretty much only the first one is good.
There's a difference between watchable and good.

As for Saw, I didn't really like the last one I watched, I think it was the third one. It just gets old, even with all the shit they come up with.

but who cares, I just wont watch them.

I remember watching a load of them one night while partaking a few stimulants...frightened the life out of me.
All my nightmares have masks or acne.

I think their o.k. but I've only seen the first two. I really only like to see the different ways they die, some of them like when the girl sticks her hands up to get the shot is a Spanish torture device. Kinda interesting.
