Let's put it this way, the only euphoria I knew for a while was jacking off (sorry for the vulgarity) and just barely a bit of drinking. Then my friend randomly gave me acid. I didn't know much about it other than what my friend had described. I only took one tab. I felt like I was tripping really hard meanwhile my two friends were all relaxed and just chatting on two tabs. I can only describe it as the most amazing feeling I've ever felt. I guess you could call it a body high. I only saw minor visuals. Towards the end (took it around 9 pm at night, stayed up for almost 24 hours) I was in bed and I thought I'd never be normal again. I couldn't sleep, I kept thinking I was going insane. I have had insomnia in the past frequently so I'm guessing the acid just magnified it. No big deal, I finally slept and woke up exhausted but fine. Since then I've taken it a few more times and tripped pretty hard on just one tab. Then came one special trip. We had gone on a road trip to Atlanta (from Miami) to see The Mars Volta. Afraid that I'd trip hard I took like half of a tab. We were from row maybe 5 feet away from the band.. Once they started playing, it was the most intense trip I've ever had.. Not the best but the most intense (does that make sense?). My friends and I figured it was because of the music. This sort of went bad because I had to drive back to Miami and driving on the highway at midnight for hours while peaking isn't too fun. Well... it is fun but pretty scary at the same time. After this trip I tripped one more time, once again on one tab but from a different dealer. I barely tripped this time. Felt completely normal minus that sort of little body high you first get that makes you realize you're trippin. This trip did confirm the idea that music enhances your trip though. I went from feeling very little to tripping as hard as I usually did by jamming with my band for a decent amount of time. Those are my stories and here are my questions... What dosage do most people take? Is a "tab" how most people take LSD? Is it usually referred to by a different name? Are the tabs I take very low potency? I keep reading all sorts of stories about people going on crazy trips on this forum. Acid tends to hit me a bit harder than it hits my friends it seems. I have a friend that can take three tabs and have a full conversation with my dad with him even having a clue of whats going on. He seems completely relaxed and normal, just a bit quieter if anything. Does LSD effect your perception of other drugs? I've smoked marijuana (regs and crip) quite a few times and feel absolutely no effect other than just feeling relaxed and sleepy. Am I immune? How much do tabs usually cost? I normally pay $10 per tab and this new dealer sells them for $12. Am I getting ripped off? Sorry for all the questions.. That's all I can think of now. I'm new to the forums. Hello to all.
Hey, welcome to the forums. First off, driving on acid is a bad idea, dude. Your perceptions of space, time and speed can be pretty badly distorted. Yeah, most people get there acid on tabs (sometimes called blotters too) or they just buy liquid acid and put it on blotters or something similar (sugar cubes etc.) themselves. Acid usually costs me £5 a tab if I'm buying them in small amounts, that's around $10. The reason that acid affects you more than your friends is that they've been doing it for longer so they've built up a tolerance. From the sounds of it I'd say your tabs are average potency. About weed not affecting you, do you mean while you're on acid? Smoking weed whilst under the influence of more powerful drugs will usually just make the effects of other drugs more intense. Sorry if there's any questions I forgot to answer, I'm quite stoned at the minute.
Haha, it's cool man. I know it's a bad idea to drive on acid but I know I can do it as long as I'm completely focused on the road. It makes you really stressed and tense but it can definitely be done. I used cruise control so I wouldn't go anywhere near over the speed limit. One thing that really did suck though was the fact that it was night and I was just going down a very dark interstate. Those highways at night can be a bit scary sober. It's pitch dark and the only friend you have is your headlights. It really looked like we were flying in darkness with only yellow lights there for guidance. I try not to drive unless I direly have to. As for the weed. I wasn't tripping while I smoked it. I've heard it definitely makes it better though. I was sober before smoking.. It just doesn't seem to have much of an effect on me. My friends say it's because I did acid before I ever touched anything else and that the feeling of being on acid tops most other drugs. What do ya think? EDIT: I just thought up another question... What's the most acid you'd recommend to have a real hard trip that'll send you into "another world" with a good amount of visuals without necessarily having you go crazy?
I find that when I'm driving under the influence of anything I tend to drive way to slow as opposed to too fast, haha. And being in a car trips me out too much to drive on acid, everything starts going really glitchy. If you want to try a more intense trip I'd recommend tripping once every two months and increasing your dose by half a tab each time, so try one and a half next time if you feel up to it. That way you won't end up too much out of your depth. I don't think that's the reason, the order you try drugs in shouldn't make a difference. How much did you smoke?
Good stories. I don't really have any comments on them except that my first trip was very similar to yours - euphoria followed many hours later by not being able to go to sleep and fearing insanity. As for the questions... yes most people have tabs or blotter, but some people get liquid or liquid dropped onto other mediums such as candy. I don't think your tabs are weak. They might not be the strongest ever, but if you're having serious trips on one tab, which you clearly are, then I wouldn't say they are weak. Probably medium potency. Price wise, you aren't getting ripped off but a lot of people do get it for cheaper. If you're really close to the top of the distribution chain, it's more like $5 a hit or even less. But, $10 is not a terrible price, and I think it's definitely worth it. $15 is pushing it as far as the principle of the thing goes, but I still think it's worth it if it's legit L and you can't find it anywhere else. As for other drugs... it definitely shouldn't make pot feel weaker, although I guess it could happen. Most people report pot feeling stronger (more like tripping) after they've tripped, but I suppose it could feel weak in comparison. The real issue I think is just that people have vastly different experiences when it comes to pot. From the first time I got high, pot has always been very intense for me. Sensory overload, racing thoughts, etc. have always been common, unless my tolerance is high and/or I purposefully smoke only a little bit. Other people just don't feel weed that strongly, more like you describe. You are probably just one of those people. I don't know if it's a genetic/neurobiological thing or if some people just have a different interpretation of weed that can change over time. Oh, and dosage depends all on the person and the quality of the hits... some people like to trip really hard and have weak hits so they will take 5 on a consistent basis. Other people have strong hits and like to keep one foot in the door of reality and might take one tab or half a hit. I have dosed mostly on strong blotter and I usually took two hits, but sometimes one. I've never taken an incredibly high dose, which I kind of regret now because I don't know when, if ever, I will trip again, but I never really saw the point. Two hits of potent blotter is such a reality-shattering experience that I never really saw the point of more. It is fun, though, to take half a tab and just get that warm buzz and the light visuals and whatnot. Edit: two more thoughts... as for driving on L - obviously it's not a great idea, especially if you're having an intense trip and/or you are freaking out, but I've done it before and honestly I felt like I was a very capable driver. I just stayed focused on the road... no problem. Of course if I were having a bad trip I couldn't drive, but as long as I am relaxed, I find that I can do pretty much anything on L that I can do sober, when it comes to using my body especially. I play guitar very well on L. Can't play for shit on shrooms. Lastly, on the subject of weed... it does definitely depend on how much you smoke. Maybe you just never got over the "hump" so to speak. I predict that you will keep trying to smoke weed in increasing amounts, and one of these times, quite possibly after hitting a bong, you will be blasted out of your mind
Well my friend is someone who knows everything there is to know about weed and he taught me how to do it the right way. The first few times we passed a bowl in between 3 friends.. The time I did crip I got more than half the bowl to myself. I mean I guess you could say I was high but I guess it just didn't live up to my expectations. I just felt relaxed and sleepy.. Nothing else. I felt like I'd achieved that state sober before. I don't know maybe it's all the hype from these people that completely change on it and have crazy laugh attacks and start ranting about pointless bullshit. And yeah, I would like to trip hard enough to where I can of lose track of reality only to see what everyone else is talking about. I'm pretty down to earth when it comes to knowing what is real and what isn't. It'd be great to see all sorts of wild things but I doubt it would change my perception of reality afterward. I'm not very spiritual so I doubt I'd get that spiritual connection everyone seems to talk about.
On the weed subject, you definitely haven't gotten truly high yet. Like I said, some people just don't get that high, but people have laughing attacks for a reason The first time I got high, I had a five minute laughing attack, and I didn't realize that I was laughing for the first minute or so of it, and I also didn't remember I had smoked. Then all of a sudden I realized what was happening. Classic. As for totally losing reality... in my experience with L, which isn't nearly as much as some people here, that isn't the kind of thing that happens. You might lose your perception of reality... for instance, you might start thinking about death and it might hit you in a way that it never has before. But, it's not like you're going to be flying around with dragons or anything, not any more so that you can when you're sober and you imagine flying around with dragons. What LSD does to your perception of reality can be very subtle, yet nevertheless extremely powerful (sometimes I think the subtlety is what makes it so powerful).
Hahah, no. This name came from when I was in middle school years ago.. Don't really know why I picked the word doubt.. The 25 is the day of birth. As for what StayLoose said, I've always figured it was like that. I never really figured how people can really trip so hard to the point that they're "seeing" all sorts of crazy shit. As for weed... I guess I gotta smoke a bit more to get a feel for it.
