I'm skipping it, didn't really liked the stuff on their myspace... Besides I rather see Acid Mothers Temple live also this month and Nebula in december. :)

Well, I'm not an Of montreal expert but they're not typical rock from what I've heard of them.. Dronelore's suggestions aren't rock at all either, I'd expect him to name bands like Sleep and stuff haha :p

oh shit, i forgot this was a psychedelic ROCK thread, haha my bad

it was a momentary lapse of memory, the reason i didnt beat him over the head with MOTHERFUCKING SLEEP AND ELECTRIC FUCKING WIZARD is because he wanted rock. i couldnt even recommend Black Sabbath because he wanted modern rock. :(

Indeed, Sleep sounds more like doom metal at first instance.. so I didn't mentioned stuff like that neither. If the original poster isn't aware of the music of Black Sabbath at the albums between Master of reality and Sabbath bloody sabbath I say try those out as well :p

of course ive got some sabbath. like i said, im pretty well covered on genres when i feel like chillin out. but sometimes im in a little more of an intense mood and want something heavier but still sweet. ive been meaning to check out more perfect circle, i only have one of their albums. and i love nin. all ive really been listening to in those moods though is just tool and deftones like over and over again. if im in a chiller rock mood ill go with like zeplin or sabbath or hendrix etc. and then deeper than that i like all kinds of music...on the topic of dj shadow i have a little bit of his stuff and its good, along with boards of canada.
