If i carve a wooden pipe, what should i put in the bowl to make it not burn. I heard somewhere that olive oil works. Is this true?

you can buy it at ace hardware or something.

It is a kind of wood finish, should come in a plastic container.

Just tell the clerk that you have a wood project that you want to finish with beeswax, and he should be able to help you.

i'd be careful putting any kind of wood finish in the bowl head. unless it's pure beeswax. even then, it might taste funny. good luck
