Hello im new here I had a traumatic experience today and wanted to share. Im looking after my mums animals while she is on hols in Malaga. I went to feed them this morn and her Rabbit Bob looked very illI phoned the vet and took him along this afternoon unfortunatly my worst fears were confirmed he had miximatosis. I phoned my mum who chose to have him put to sleep. So I stayed wth him while they did it, I had my little girl with me who is 18 months luckly she didn't understand. They put the injection in his ear but his vein was too swolen to get it all in so then they put the rest in the other ear. Poor Bob didn't flinch and seemed to go to sleep very peacefully. I cried a lot and it really upset me. Sorry to depress everyone but I needed to write it down thanks for listening love Hannah xxxxxx
I know that when a dog dies, the only cure is a puppy... I had a rabbit die while I was away when I was a kid, by the way. Totally sucked. I never got a bunny to replace Bunny the Rabbit.
