Looking For Mental Focus/Concentration Help

    Okay so basically i dont have ADD or anything like that it's just my mind is definately like a drunk monkey,
    when i have something i have to do i can focus fine and my thoughts don't wander, but when im just sitting there i can't seem to stay present and emotionally detached. i personalize pretty much everything i hear because im pretty self-conscious (getting better though haha), and think that people are talking about me all the in some way. because of this people can affect (manipulate) me easily, which is my own fault...
    but i know im really close and looking for ways to help focus my thoughts better because i know this will help with all of that

    some things i know are mantra's + staring @ a candle flame or 1 thing but if there's any other exercises i can do or any advice you think might help me (when im actually doing stuff) than i'd greatly appreciate it

    heres a little more about me,
    i like to figure situations out first before saying or doing something to avoid embarrassment because i used to be completely oblivious... but the thing that i need help with too is being able to be an observer of a situation but not really influence it, because when im not saying anything i feel like i should or am uncomfortable

    so yea hope that made some sense... kinda tired haha

    Lots and lots of things one can do for this. I say try panchakarma.

    anything you post here thats relative to this is appreciated

    im about to look into that and what was mentioned before that so thanks a lot for the help

    Well you could try brainwave entrainment. Usually that helps me get all the thoughts out of my mind and I focus totally on relaxing (to the point where I don't really need to focus).

    Here's a Brainwave Entrainment mp3 you can try. You never know, it might work.

    Yeah, see I don't know shit about concentration and focus, I mean, on what? If I'm spending time and money meditating it's for mental/physical peace-wellbeing.

    My opinion, if school doesn't work for one then it's not meant to be. Lots of other things to do like make furniture or do porn.
