So I haven't ever tripped acid before, but Im stoked for it when it comes. But I started thinking about where to take it for the best trip I can get and I got this idea and I want you guys to tell me what you think. Since I'm in alabama, I thought in a field. With a tapestry to sit on, a portable cd player, and me. What kind of experiance do you think I'll have? Also to do the same thing but at night with a clear sky, and just lay there and look up.
That would be amazing, only problem I see is tripping alone in the middle of nowhere for your first time but as long as you know what to expect you'll be ok.
I think in that sort of setting, assuming the fields are pretty bare, you might want to have someone else trip with you. I find if im outdoors trees and shrubs and hills and rivers/ponds make the trip a lot more interesting. It would be easy to get bored if all you have is yourself and music. You must remember that just being on acid dosnt guarantee that you wont get bored. You will most likely still need something to do or someone to talk to.
Agree 100% with ad10. It's not like shrooms or weed . . . being alone on acid is harder. At the least have a cellphone with you to call your friends.
ive only been bored on acid when with boring people being by yourself might just be a bit creepy if you end up feeling like a helpless ant amongst the ferocious world
I dont want to feel like a helpless ant ever. I might hold on the idea in a field. I thought about the lakes and woods and stuff, but I dont want to go into a lake and drowned and I dont want to go deep into the woods and forget how to get back. Maybe a park.
i dont know what other people think about it but ive been swimming at the beach on 3 tabs and it wasnt hard. in fact it was quite an amazing experience. however that being said its probably not the best idea if you havnt taken acid before.
I think you should go for it but take a good friend with you. I don't know about you but I'd get pretty bored of sitting in a field on my own for about 8 hours, haha.
Because I'll narrow my choices down to not live if there is no one else my size. Id panic. Its a bad trip bound to happen dude.
Being bored on acid comes from low doses. How the hell could you be bored on a decent dose? I guess if you take it all the time, that's a different story. Lonliness, restlessness, indicision, sure, but boredom? Who's licking your hits before you get them?
Wait, you're talking about LSD, right? Like a quarter hit of some weak, old, stuff, sure phones and computers and tv's and probably even go-carts would be fun and perhaps safe. If you take a decent dose, stay the fuck away from phones. Seriously, I wonder if anyone who has tripped hundreds of times on clean, high-quality, high dosage acid would give advice warning against being bored and making sure to keep phones around to use. On a mid-high dose, it's sometimes difficult to do things like count money and dial phones. Sometimes it's easy. It' the details of those transactions and interactions that can be rather awkward or worse. I'm not trying to be rude, but I am seriously baffled. Has there been a paradigm shift I've missed? I suppose I am getting on in years...
Thats true but id say the majority of first time trippers are not going to a good few tabs. Most will only take one and for a first time it is also likely they may get a weak hit like so many people on this forum seem to.

You joke about it, but with that attitude I'm very worried about you + acid. Thinking like that is what makes people jump out of buildings on acid. Maybe you should wait till youre a little older and your solution to existential crisis is not suicide :\. Because if acid is one thing, it's an existential crisis.
No, I don't mean I would do it. It was a figure of speech. I would just freak out more than I ever have. I would probably close my eyes and try to wait out the trip. I know you are supposed to keep a positive state of mind, but I guess there is a possibility that the helpless ant thing would get to me no matter what. So I think I am going to do it with a friend of mine thats already took it. Keep it simple and interesting.
dude you have to embrace the helpless ant thing. Dont be a wuss. This is part of the learning process. Because we actually ARE like helpless ants. It is not like you will have hallucinations of giant birds eating you up or something. It is a realisation of your place in the universe. but yeh i guess it sounds kinda scary. The flipside is when you realise that you have an autonomy that no ant is gifted with, and when you realise all of the things we do as humans with our intelligence and technology to raise ourselves above the environment. but yeh not a good idea to get lost in the bush for your first trip
Is anyone other than me extremely worried about this fella? He's about to take acid guys. I don't know how to stress this enough to you zombie, if you go into the experience with the attitude shown in this post, you are risking at best a horrible, horrible experience and at worst permanent psychological damage of unknown extent. That's just my opinion, but acid is not like weed. Nobody who has done it is gonna tell you with a straight face "ah kid you'll be fine". Seriously . . . if this is how you would react to realizing you are small and helpless . . . man, just wait till you see what's really in store for you. :\ I'm not saying don't do acid. I love acid. DO IT. Just not when your worldview is like THAT. Acid will turn you into a little bug and then SQUASH you man. It's not a joke, you're not drinking alcohol here. In this poster's opinion, you need a lot more mental fortitude before attempting the penultimate psychedelic.
I'd have to agree that people with that kind of view can have an extremely rough trip. Ive seen it with one of my mates girlfriends, where the smallest little feeling of uncertainty or worry grew and grew and by the end of the night she was throwing up, crying and in complete despair because she wanted to just sleep it off but couldn't sleep. Now she came out of it fine, well no worse than before , but she had one hell of a night. She is not someone with much self confidence or feels much self worth. But at the same time people who ive given acid to, me being worried that they would have a hard time, have completely astounded me by having the greatest experience of their lives. Acid is strange substance. You never know how it will affect you until you try it.
DO NOT go to a park. If Alabama is like Georgia, then every park has park rangers come and check up on it Take it from me and keep all drug related fun away from parks, being as i got arested for possession at a park and will never do anything at a public park ever again.
