This is great. Obama campaign rep STUMPED on legislative accomplishments https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGeu_4Ekx-o
Doesn't surprise me. It seems politicians don't actually understand the government they've been elected to, they only seem to understand the interworkings of fund raising, and that goes for both parties. Can you name any of McCain's legislative accomplishments in the last two years?
Digging deep, aren't you? This is 8 months old. Buzz buzz. I think we have seen enough to judge the executive capabilities of McCain and Obama since then. I thought is was more embarrassing when Palin could not name a single McCain accomplishment other than being a maverick. This was last month. Don't make me repost those interviews. Obama is a junior Senator. The Senate is an institution of tradition and seniority (somebody please inform the republican VP candidate how that "government" thing works). Asking about the legislative accomplishments of a junior senator is a trick question. And we are electing an executive, not a legislator. I would refer you to the campaigns run by each candidate if you want to judge executive temperament. Obama has been steady and on message. McCain has been an erratic old man yelling at us to get off the lawn. I can't say I'm not experiencing Schadenfreude. Republican partisan tools are really running out of ideas. It would be easier for them to save face if they hadn't just spent 8 years gloating that "elections have consequences". When you get taxed 55% on your inheritance income, think about your republican heroes, and how their mismanagement of government threw our economy into turmoil. You voted for them, and now you are going to pay for it.
