i cannot say i am a "nudist" per-say, i do spend almost every minute i am in my little apartment alone, or with my boyfriend, nude. But I would love to actually be out with other people nude. i think the idea is completely wonderful, and it is a shame our society sexualizes the body so much. like we have to cover ourselves unless we are bathing, or sexin'. maybe it is just me, but i think if we (general society, i should say) were more open about our bodies, maybe less people would have such horrible body image issues. not to mention it seems to completely detach the sense of "me" from, me- my body. i mean we live in our bodies each day, all day.... but it seems that no one really knows their own physical self, or are afraid of it. especially males, i have had very few conversations involving the male about his body in which at one point it wasnt over-sexualized or over-masculinized, or the topic was just joked about.... i dont know, a lot of unfinished thoughts there...but just felt like getting a little ranting in today.

Probably it's a hard philophical question if people feel more connected to their body because they go naked, or if the go naked because they have a better body relation ;-) I guess my answer would be it's dynamic and reciprocative, kind of circulum vitiosum. > But I would love to actually be out with other people nude. i think the idea is completely wonderful You've done the first step, and fortunately your friend seems to support you, at least at your own hovel. If you keep your eyes and your mind open, you propbably will find moe chances to make it real. Think of beaches, festivals, among good friends etc. Just take chances, don't make big plans. Clover85 - - You might try this as a way to ease into being nude. Wear standard demure panties .... wear a swimsuit top instead of a bra .... cover it with an appropriate top .... wear appropriate shorts and shoes. Take off the top when it's comfortable for you .... same swimsuit top ... the sun will feel good on your breasts .... shorts and panties come off together .... or you could substitute a swimsuit bottom for the panties. All of that is sorta like going into cold water one inch at a time. I prefer to just jump into the cold water. That might suit you too. Forget body image ... few of us are perfect ... and my perfection isn't yours. As you can see from my sig-pic I haven' had a sign of a muscle in my entire life. Have fun and play safely!

If you have good and open minded friends, maybe you just can ask them about being nude when you are together. Over the years i found out some friends being open for this, so i sometimes can pep up my daily life with a nudity weekend, at least in summer. For example, sometimes i stay at a family who lives in an old farm house with orchards around, something like a little paradise, or i found two hiking buddies who admit me going naked with them. I guess you'll go your way anyhow. I think so much is possible as long as you care to stay kind and avoid annoying the people.
