Getting tattoo done,do you like that one??

Im thinking of getting this tattoo done on my left wrist
its says Athens in ancient Greek,is the city in Greece I was born.
what do you think of it??

btw I heard the wrist is a very painful place for a tattoo,

it is a lil more tender of an area seeing there is little "meat" there

 

i have a tattoo on my wrist. it is pretty tender, and hurts a bit
but i mean.. it hurts no more than any other tattoo.
it can get a little irritated though, since you're always bending your wrists and stuff.

i have tats on both my wrists. they didn't hurt TOO bad. just tickly sort of, i kept wanting to jerk my hand. so i held it with the other one. i had both my wrists bandaged up, i looked like a suicide gone wrong, lol!

but i would caution you to have it just a bit lower, so it's not right in the creases where your skin bends at the wrist. you can see the creases when you bend your wrist up... just go a little below that and you should be fine as far as healing and less irritation, and ink taking better.

hmn, personally to me - i think its stupid. imo it bears shit, where you were born? its no biggie, i dont need to be reminded of that. especially on ones wrist in greek... theres thousands of people with love or shit like that writen in arabic < i see it as lack of imagination/ urgency for body modification.

i plan to get a tattoo in the future, i will post it when i do (may be a long time). it will be what i believe in, what i stand for, what i want to be, what i want me to symbolise, the path to this and much much more unique and personal works of art which i myself sketched.

you're talking about getting a tattoo of what you believe in, stand for, and what you want to be.. so maybe the tattoo that the OP is getting is what he stands for, and what he wants to be (well what he is--greek)

i guess i always imagined an entire arm covered in flowing ideas, not a tiny lil name of a huuuuge place. but once again, my opinion, his body.

still, i guess it would be neat if it were like a really smal local village, and you just tatooed that...

i just lol at people getting these really stupid tattoos you find in every catalog - like a lion/spider/penguin/dolphin/rose etc.
