I'm trying to CWE some codeine phosphate (8 mg)/ apap 375/ caffeine (15mg). will the CWE also remove the caffeine from the pill?
How much codeine do you plan on taking? 200mg is a normal cup of coffee, if I am not mistaken, so even if you are taking 100mg of codeine, you shouldn't be too far up there on the caffeine end. Plus you risk losing quite a bit of the codeine with the CWE, even if done perfectly.
The caffeine is not removed during a CWE. If you are extracting enough codeine the sedation normally outwieghs the stimulation properties of the caffeine. If you're worried the caffeine might wind you up too much take some Diphenhydramine (Tylenol P.M., Benadryl) . Plus it's a nice little potenator for codeine.
caffeine is soluble in cold water. otherwise, the caffeine would form a precipitate in the bottom of your iced teas, iced coffees, and colas. just think about it. and there is no "normal" cup of coffee, but most contain FAR less than 200mg theres 200mg in a vivarin pill. a cup of coffee is more often ranging from 60-100mg, afaik. but it would have to be REALLY strong coffee to get much past 150mg
cool thanks guys I'm all set the whole process just ended up being a pain in the ass and not worth (not to mention CWE codeine water is about 100 x worse than cwe hydrocodone water). But thanks for the input guys!
:ack2: Yea codeine tastes pretty horrible! I can chew up hydrocodone containing pills without a problem... in fact, they sorta taste kinda good in a weird way (I probably just associate the taste with feeling good now, lol) but there's no way in hell I can chew up codeine tablets without flinching from the disgusting taste.
when your CWE is brought to freezing point.. meaning there is a thin layer of ice but nothing more.. caffeine swells up.. making it slightly easier to filter..
