Hey, how about that, McCain has high negatives, and only MSNBC is reporting them. Shit, you should listen to NPR once in a while. You'd be up in arms. How dare they report the news! What I se from your graph: only fox news has affirmative action for republicans.
Amazing, in a horrible sort of way... Don't you wonder??? With all the stuff flying around about Obama, WHY AREN'T ALL OF THE NEWS SERVICES INVESTIGATING??? If for nothing else, to DISPROVE the allegations! (Maybe because they can't?) And, as usual, an Obaminite speaks up and defends his hero, NOT with any evidence to the contrary, but by continuing to stand on the old "Well, if it was true, the news..." and pooh-poohing any of the underground sources any McCanites can find. So much for openmindedness from the liberals...
What I see are the media false reports that John McCain and Palin are gaining. Not what I am seeing in my area.
gardener, I was at a Moveon.org calling party last night, and we had all kinds of impressions from people we called. Some are despairing, some see the same thing you do. It's interesting that the views are so different in different regions, and a reminder that we can't get cocky.
Hey McCain and Palin shouldn't get cocky either. They aren't even close to winning, and neither one has managed to transmit their policies in a cohesive and intelligent manner to the American people. They manage to exist today soley on manufacturing fear.
It's par for the course gardener. Remember, they have supporters, and they don't want to demoralize their supporters. Chin up, dude, even if McCain wins there will be a lot of turnover in the house and senate. The worst case scenario ain't so bad.
i know a lot of people voting for mccain. they just don't talk about it or display it much because people mess with their shit or harass them. just because they're not speaking up doesn't mean they're not out there. it's a weird election, man.
Hard to believe. I've had to be careful of what I said in restaurants since before Bush declared war on Iraq, because it was seen as unpatriotic to be against it. That's at least six years I've had to be careful or be seen as a terrorist. It's about time we viewed the real terrorists as what they actually are.
It may be a wierd election, but I am hopinhg it's a fair one. I am hoping the republicans don't stoop to stealing it.
No kidding! i'm absolutely horrified over what's going on, and not just on this forum! What's happening is terrible, because NOW, i'm voting a straight Repub ticket ~ any dem we can get OUT of the House and Senate is for the good, imho, and that is no way to vote, but these fanatical people have managed to scare the piss out of me. i want 'change,' too; however, i don't want the change to be to a social system that has already proven itself to be corrupt, controlling and contentious towards its citizens... (Man, sorry about that, but i am really into alliteration... ROFL!)
i don't imagine any win by a republican will be seen as anything but stealing, corruption, lying, racist, kool aid drinking, etc. but obama's lead is not so huge that mccain can't sneak in there. there's gonna be major violence if obama doesn't win. i'm kinda spooked.
No kidding... And can you imagine what it's going to be like if we have to wait a month or so for the ballots to be counted, recounted, RE-recounted, and then he loses? <sigh>
And you live in Milwaukee? Yikes. i used to live in Austin, and if i still did? i'd be taking a couple of days vacation, to go visit my folks out on their ranch, in the middle of nowhere. And i know that sounds so racist, but Obama and his wife are racists to the other extreme, actually getting angry (Michelle) that black students that went to Princeton were able to assimilate into society, at the highest levels, and no longer felt that they were black, First/Foremost. With them being so radically racist against anglos, i honestly don't believe that screaming out 'But, but, i voted for OBAMA!' is going to save your heiny, in the event of a riot. Call me cynical. And, hey, i know i sound paranoid? But i can't help thinking that that might be the 'Big Plan' ~ organize a controversial election that is just a cog in the wheel. The election riles up the people of the land. There is rioting in the streets. Martial law is declared. Hmmm... Wonder if we, as a nation, might be pretty vulnerable?... (Man, i've been hanging around rat, gardener and MJ too long! ROFL!)
What you resent that they attended college and became successful? Your type don't want minorities on welfare, but now you don't want them to be successful through hard work?
Fyrenza, let me be clear about something. Those of us who are not racists don't buy it when you bring up this kind of shit. That's just what you and the other racists tell each other so you can justify your position in the face of overwhelming social pressure and the words of christ himself. Don't kid yourself though. The vast majority of decent people roll their eyes when they hear shit like you spew. you are not fooling anyone. Except maybe yourself.
