I know a few ministers of the ULC. Do they even require proof that an applicant for ordination be human? Could I have my dog ordained?

 

i'm pretty sure they've been around for a long time (wasn't there something about becoming a minister in the freebies section of Steal This Book?)

but having no actual churches, beliefs, doctrines, or as far as i know any buildings, or membership....do they REALLY have legal status as a legitimate religion under US law?

and can you legally marry people just because you're ordained in a religion? no other qualifications need to be met? (i mean, i know they'll need wedding license and all that jazz, but still)

i'm just curious. it doesnt seem likely to me is all...

i didnt know , what did u get ordained under , the UUC or what , i mean u have to had beilve in something for them to give u the paper saying here marry ppl and perform sermons in our church right ?
