hey all, i just did a cold water extraction a little bit ago, and it worked great, i drank some of the 'solution' and was wasted for a while.. after reading like 4 methods of CWE, i did my own with no major changes to direction. most of what i followed came from Erowid. i just wanted to post it here, for future reference, and any info regarding better ways to do this. What you need: 2 Short Glasses + a Measuring cup Coffee filters or laboratory filters 10 or more pills Supply: 15 pills of 30MG Codeine / 300MG APAP Total of 450MG Codeine (roughly, hopefully i received at least 90% of it through extraction), and a total of (roughly) 4.5 GRAMS of APAP extracted.. i used 60ML of water to extract with, because these pills are big. i used warmer water to start with and then cooled the water in freezer. the steps i used, as simple as possible are like this: 1. (6:11pm) crushed pills to a powder to disolve alot faster then normal 2. (6:16pm) measured and warmed 60ML water to aprox. 70-75*F 3. (6:18pm) mixed pills with the warm water in a small storage container and stirred for a moment 4. (6:20pm) placed the mix in freezer for 20 minutes (until the solution was at around 45-50*F) - stirred by swirling - every 5 minutes in freezer. 5. (6:40pm) took mix out of freezer, and swirled a bit to stir it up. i got a short glass cup, put a coffee filter on top of it, and poured the solution/mix out of the storage container, and onto the coffee filter 6. (7:58pm) it took about a little over an hour to seep through the coffee filter - as the water leaves the filter, the shorter amount of water takes more time to seep through, this can be sped up by tilting the glass a little. - i was left with a 'cloudy' mixture = the final solution of codeine - APAP was left on top of the filter and looked like a thick white paste. result: the result was liquid-codeine. the taste is very bitter.. but infact a great way to remove all that APAP.. fast, and easy. i didnt do a second extraction because i was impatient. notes: -this will work with most narc's... -Keep codeine solution in dark/colder area. -Heat and Light will indefinitely effect the Codeine's strength. -Powder form was desired, but was entirely unnecessary due to the minuscule amount of powder that would remain. not necessary unless you have alot of pills to use. - step five: waiting for the water to seep through filter, even when it looks like nothing is left in the white APAP paste, there still is, you can squeeze it gently to excrete any water that is still in the mix. (dont squeeze hard it risks breaking the filter and getting APAP into the mix.)
seriously.. you can skip the warm water part.. just crush your pills and mix in ice cold water.. filter.. filter... drink
question, on the second filtering part.. do you filter the APAP with fresh water or the solution of codeine..?
you can do either.. then i would just filter the APAP again into the already filtered solution then filter the final solution again.. but remember... thats just that much more you gotta choke down
i skip the warm water part because APAP becomes slightly more soluble in warmer water.. and the icing is just used to help swell the caffeine so that some of it is filtered out
oh, cool, thanks for the tips man these pills i had, they didnt have any caffeine in them nexttime, i will try it without warm water but my method worked ok, for a first time anyways, i got 3 large doses from it. the doses got me quite wasted too lol, keep in mind that i have a high tolerance to opiates.
im not disagreeing that your method didnt work.. im just saying there is a lot faster ways of doing it
oh i wasnt saying that, i was just thanking you for letting me know about that, warm water thing.. really tho it didnt take much time at all anyhow.. infact im sure if more people knew how easy and not-time consuming it was, more people would attempt it.. but the longest part was waiting for it to seep through the filter.. i just got my monthly 80mg oxy tho, so soon i will try this CWE again, and take the time to do the extra filtering
That sounds like it went really well! i'm definitely trying your method next time not mine loooooooooooooooooong, and to think you came to me for help when it should of been the other way around
hehe well, u gave me the inspiration mike, so thx! it did go well, especially for first time.. and to think i could have got more if i took the time to filter it.. really, i didnt think i would get the buzz i received from the codeine..
I've always been afraid of CWE due to the chance of somehow screwing up and losing potency... but i think you may have inspired me
really, i felt the same way.. but damn it is very easy try it out, you wont be dis satisfied, and i dont think there is a way of screwing this up. it worked great even though i only filtered it once, i was very happy! im glad it gave you some inspiration also, have a chaser ready preferable something acidic, like lemonaid, the final solution is very very bitter tasting and anything acidic will kill the bitterness quickly.

Hi i am confused about what this could be used for. Can this filter out the Acetaminophen 325mg out of 5mg hydro-codeine?
Yes, it could filter 325mg acetaminophen out of 5mg hydrocodone (?). However, you would only want to performs it on acetaminophen levels reaching 4,500mg. You could pop the 5mg and nothing much would even happen.
yea its better to just take them, unless you want to do 6 or more, it would probably be a waste. id only do a CWE if i had like 10/15 or more pills
I personally never stirred it. The whole point of putting it in the freezer is to make the process of separating the APAP from the Codeine faster. Stirring it just kinda takes you a step back, in a way. If you don't stir it at all, when you take it out of the freezer you can see how it works, because you will have two distinctly separate layers.
