    yeah, that's one of those quintessential "first album" albums. at least for prepubescent kids in the mid 90's.

    probably the reason i'm so weird now
    if only i listened to dookie and had a normal upbringing

    first, almost everyone listened to eminem. spear throwing aborigines who had never talked on a phone listened to eminem.
    and the dookie era predates the slim shady lp era by years.

    you're just bloody wrong.

    I was thinking this. It must have been 7th grade when dookie came out, I remember riding my bike to the store and buying it. Eminem dropped his first lp in 10th

    Thats awesome...especially Santana.

    My Dad gave me a dose of Taj Mahal, the Violent Femmes and some Creedence but mostly I was into grunge, because I was cool like all the other kids.
