:cheers2: My aunt made me a bag a long ass time ago for my doll clothes and it was so cute and i want to make one but i cant seem to find the right pattern. Does anyone know where you can get a pattern for one of those cute lil crocheted bag/pouch thing..the ones im finding are too little or they have a ton of embellishments. So basically the bag i want to make is a round pouch with a handle....i suck at describing.. It basically looks like this:
http://www.crochetnmore.com/123basics.htm i found out in the last year that my half double crochet was actually a treble. go figure. im relearning all my stitches
and the abbreviations in Europe are different from the USA ones. Good luck! That is a pretty bag! I saw a hippie purse when I was little and their were hippies everywhere with flowers in their hair. Just had to add that, anyway it took my agggggggggggeeeeee to find a pattern for the purse they all carried!!!! When I finally found one and made it I had a lot of old hippies or people who were kids then go 'i remember those!' sorry to ramble... have fun hugs bb Delfynasa
That wouldn't be too hard to make. Do you know how to crochet? From the picture, it just looks like a double crochet. So basically to make that bag, which is very basic you will want to: Chain 4, join. Round 1 - Chain 2, Double crochet in same loop. 2 double crochet in next 3 loops. (The chain 2 will count as your 1st double crochet, for a total of 8 double crochets.) Join. Round 2 - Chain 2, double crochet in same loop. *3 double crochet in next loop, 2 DC in next 2 loops. Repeat from *around & Join. Basically you want to repeat each round to increase your "base" of the bag until it is the width that you want. Then you will just double crochet each round (without increasing) until it is the height that you want. For the strap, you will just double crochet from one side, to the width and length that you want, then sew it to the other side of the bag to attach it. Remember that it will stretch and I recommend a cotton yarn. Acrylic will just stretch way too much. Cotton is more durable. I hope that helps...if you need more explanation just let me know, I crochet everything from bags to blankets to baby clothes to people clothes.
