I think if you support prostitution and see it as a career opportunity that is socially acceptable today, there are several reasons you may want to consider why you value this belief to begin with. If you are a person who is under the assumption that prostitution and selling of a person's sexuality is something that A) the private sector should be capitalizing off of, or B) the government should be handling as if it's a legitimate and regulated industry and trade, then I am convinced that you are in a state of false consciousness and are in need of waking up. Especially the whole "government should regulate it", mentality. I have a couple important questions running through my head about that one: Should the government subsidize your books because you went to prostitute school and graduated with prostitute honours? If you want to go into a trade like the sex trade, would that mean that you can get a rebate on your first hysterectomy? Do you get a discount on your uniform from the employer? Would OHIP cover dental when a John busts your teeth out? Would impregnated-while-on-the-job women be given free and/or forced abortions as part of their contracts? And since when have we become in favour of putting sexual laws on our persons, our beings, the sole property we possess on this planet, the most personal property we have that nobody has a right to take from us? Look, honestly if you think that human sexual acts should be slapped with a price tag, put up on a shelf with flashy packaging in shiny HD, sold to the highest bidder and then choose to believe that this is all for society's best interest, then you are more than welcome to retain that false hope and false reality. We've been programmed to assume that sex sells, that sex is profitable and valuable in order to commercialize and ultimately sex is the be-all-end-all desired product for us to readily consume, and do it willingly without question. But sex is free, dudes. Sex is free. *shakes head in disgust*
i don't think i'd really ever go to a prostitute, but its been a long enough time since i've had sex that if i could afford it and i were somewhere i could do it legally with a healthy, attractive girl, i'd consider it. but prostitutes charge a loooooot of money for their services from what i understand. doesnt seem worth it to me.
I don't have any feelings towards prostitutes. I've never even met one, lol however, I imagine if someone is that desperate for money they could try bartending or something. in a city, where most prostitutes work anyway, you can make like $300 a night bartending. probably comparable to how much a prostitute makes. plus you don't have to worry about getting raped or catching a disease...... prostitution is weak, imo. get a job. find a boyfriend who enjoys sex as much as you do, if you love sex that much . the end.
what i REALLY dont understand is strip clubs i've never gone to one.... i mean, sure, i like seeing attractive women...and if they will get naked for me, even better.... but paying so much money just to see women get naked? so much money! and then on top of that you're just gonna leave even more frustrated than you were when you entered!
now see, stripping is something I think is totally acceptable. if men are stupid enough to throw money at you for showing your body, by all means take it
It sells because you can buy it. Just like bottled water sells, or splinters from Jesus' crucifixion sell, or viagra sells. We believe it sells because someone is marketing it, and people are dumb enough to believe they can buy whatever the hell they want with their hard earned money. We willingly want people to sell us shit, nowadays. You see, in this system money justifies any type of basic human desire. If we stand upon a capitalist system we are being brainwashed to think in an entrenched pattern of behaviour that precludes that money is what motivates every person to get exactly what they want. Love is free and sex is free. I say that we keep it free dude, that we find better ways to make it free and stop deluding ourselves into thinking putting a price on everything is going to make us happy.
if only it was that easy... they have been selling it centuries, they arent stopping anytime soon... but i am all up for some free loving though..
