Well water is free - from a stream.But get it bottled , flavoured and with fizz and u gotta pay if u dont do it yourself. And sex trades for something too.Maybe in an honest or tasteful way.Sometimes in a dishonest way. Sometimes it trades for the chance to see that person again. Others for a nice meal and wine.Others as a mutual exchange of fun.Or lifelong love and affection. But in some cases , its stolen under the theat of violence. Some on here will sell it for enough money. Whereas Piaf will give it to her professor for an A pass.... So why should this inevitable activity /commodity be controlled by the Forces of the Dark Side?
In an ideal world, sure.. sex would not be a commodity. But the point is that to an extent it is and always will be. There are always going to be people selling sex, because they choose to do so and there's nothing anyone can do to stop that. But there's plenty of ways to tackle the exploitation of sex workers who have been forced into it, either by other people or circumstances. I was a research assistant for someone who was doing research on prostitution in London, and all the women we spoke to (every single one of them had chosen to work as a prostitute) agreed that legalizing prostitution and strict government regulations would be the best way to remove the criminal aspects of it, and also to guarantee the safety of both the women and their clients. In addition, none of these women felt exploited, quite the opposite.. they had no pimps, they were self-employed and made good money that enabled them to support their families. And none of them had ever had STDs or gotten pregnant while working, safety and hygiene were their number one priorities. It doesn't really matter whether you think prostitution is or should be socially acceptable or not, the point is that it is never going to stop existing. If you're interested, there's a book called On the game: women and sex work, by an anthropologist called Sophie Day, that's very interesting and definitely worth reading. Enlightening too.
Sure- that's where the insecurity comes from. On the male side, lots of machos are insecure about women who aren't deathly afraid of dick. To me women who are not afraid of dick are hot- and that's why hookers are the hottest women out there. iggy:
