Hahahha. Happy little trees and happy little clouds. "We want happy paintings. Happy paintings. If you want sad things, watch the news . "
his show was slightly entertaining, but i never really got into it. too bad his paintings sucked but i did like it when they'd bring out a cool animal or something at the end of some of the showsiggy:
they all looked the same! he had no real talent, he just threw them together. i'm not saying i have more talent, because i dont. and its cool that he maybe got other people to paint, too, and to let them do something fun and enjoyable, but he wasn't very creative and his paintings all looked like they should be hanging in a room at holiday inn
better than most of the people who watched the show, maybe. but there are huge numbers of people who are better artists than him my grandfather is a pretty good artist, and an art collector. i'm going to my grandparents' house for thanksgiving this year, and it will be wierd. he had probably over a million dollars worth of artwork in their little house...it was like a tiny museum. but they're getting old and thinking about their wills and such more....and because of the way taxes worked out, he had to sell basically most of his art collection. he had an original dali sketch, among other things. it wasn't all famous big name artists of course. most of it wasnt. but it was all wonderful. but they had so much artwork, worth so much money....and if he had kept it until they passed away, then...well, the taxes on inheriting that stuff would have almost entirely eliminated the money his heirs would get. i think most of its sold now. when i go there, i'm sure there will still be a few things on the walls, a couple bronzes, maybe...i dont know how much of it he sold....but i think almost all of it has been shipped off to some galleries already. i hope he still has some of it...it will be sad and a little morbid if i don't see any artwork there oh well, at least i'll get to see them, and my parents and dog, too! :cheers2:
