Has anyone anything to add to this ?? # Pulverize the grass clippings # Add water, "enough... to make a pourable soup" # Acidify to pH 5 or so # (Optional) Simmer the acidified soup in a slow cooker overnight, not allowing the liquid to evaporate. ("It may take two or three such operations to get all of the alkaloids into solution") # Strain the plant matter through cheesecloth, then through a paper coffee filter # Add 10-15% of the mass of the solution in a "defatting solvent" such as methylene chloride, ether, chloroform, or naptha. # Shake vigorously # The crap will go into the solvent, leaving the good stuff in the water. # Separate the water from the solvent. # Add a base to the aqueous solution in small increments until the pH gets to about 9 or 10. This converts the alkaloids into their free base. # Extract with 10% of the mass of the solution of an organic solvent four times, at one 24-hour and then three weekly intervals. The solvent layer will take on a darker tint, usually yellowish or reddish-brown. It will take almost a month to extract all of the alkaloids, and the solution should be shaken at least twice a day between extractions. # Evaporate the solvent off from the combined extract fractions. You now have the alkaloids.
I know with phalaris grass your gonna need scissors to cut it up. Try cutting up the grass into tiny pieces first. Add cut up leaf to a blender but no more than half full. Add only enough distilled water to make it liquify. Fill any jar depending on the amount of phalaris soup made to no more than 3/4 full. I would skip the de-fatting part since it never gets out all the crap first anyways. just use 1tbsp NaOH or KOH per 150ml of phalaris soup. Adding 1tbsp at a time to cool or cold soup. allow 30 min to basify add 1/3 the volume of naptha to soup. roll jar 100x then remove solvant layer by siphoning using a small clear rubber tube or cup it off with a small plastic cup. extract alkaloids out of solvant using a solution of 1 drop muratic acid per 25ml of distilled water used. You want to use a small but worthwhile amount of acidic water to pull the alkaloids out of the naptha and into the water layer as a salt. The alkaloid is more stable in salt form. remove and return the naptha to soup jar and repeat 2x using new acidic water each time. This will get all the alkaloids out within hours. allow the water to evaporate on a glass pie dish or baking dish. speed it up by using an electric burner on low to avoid burning your alkaloids. scrape up alkaloids into a powdery pile and add to a glass test tube or cigar tube. add naptha to use to clean the crystals. allow time for crystals to settle to the bottom before pouring off naptha. add and pour off naptha until the solvant remains clear. Also only pour off top half of solvant at a time to avoid pouring off any alkaloids. when solvant remains clear pour onto clean evaporation dish and and give it some time to evaporate into pure alkaloid salts.
This should be good for pharmahuasca or smoking. If you would like to make it snortable you will have to basify it. Just add a small amount of the basified water mixture into the glass tube of purified alkaloid salts and allow to set for 30 min while swirling the solution. then re-evaporate to have the basified alkaloid. DMT and I would think cocaine would be the only alkaloids you could obtain freebase powder from.
Phalaris is only 60-100mg of alkaloids per 100g. The only reason I would extract from this plant is to make contact with 5meoDMT that is only 20-60mg per 100g. The 5meoDMT is mixed with the DMT in the extraction. It would then be a DMT, 5meoDMT mix journey.
What is the best source for just or high amounts of 5meoDMT? would it be the virola resin or maybe yopo seeds. This would be greatly appreciated.
Remeber you guys if its an alkaloid then this acid/base technique will produce the purest alkaloids extracts. For example LSA, mescaline, DMT, 5meoDMT, harmaline, ephederine, morphine, psilocybin, DXM. It's that easy.
What's the best source of NaOH or KOH cause I'm at that satge now and how do I separate the water from the solvent
crystal drain cleaner is the only known common source besides soap manufacturing supply companies. The brand that I have found is 100% NaOH. This gives me my upperhand and has open up the world of extraction for me. with any extraction endeavor a certain amount of coin is going to need to be invested. You will have to go on a journey to your local home improvment center.
The water seperates into seperate layers. Water on bottom solvant on top. check out the extraction tek on the cacti delcti and replace the cactus with whatever other plant, pill or cough syrup alkaloid source.
I have about 150ml of liquid that I juiced over a week ago I got it to ph5 and added naptha. It's separated clear stuff on top and green water on the bottom How does that sound ??
