Hello everybody, i took 2 hits of acid today + nyquil (only a tablespoon for cold)
on and empty stomach. Anything wrong with this situation? And i didn't think about nyquil canceling my trip, until i realized my trip wasn't kicking in, although I did feel a bit of a body high.

ps: i had 2 friends that took the same everything and tripped balls.

    TY!

people have very different tolerance to psychs. Possibly, you just got super low dose acid and your friends are very sensitive.

Nyquil, I suspect, had nothing to do with it. If anything, it contains DXM, which would enhance your trip.

I know nothing about acid, but acetaminophen affects the liver so I would watch out for that combo

Edit: I am assuming you took the NyQuil + Advil dose. Some just do not include the Advil

the only things which would cancel out a trip would be medication for the brain like anti depressants and such things that interfere with what the lsd does to you.
i could be wrong but those are the only things ive heard of that stop a trip.

and yeah tabs can vary in potency even from the same sheet and as ahimsa mentioned everyone reacts differently to acid. I need more to trip as much as most of my friends.

there are different types of antidepressants one of which i heard leaves the trip as normal, one of them people usually have an extremely bad trip and one of them makes almost nothing happen. i don't remember which is which or if there are any other types of antidepressants.
either way i wont dose anyone that i know is on the medication.

    Erowid says this:

    1. There is still very little legitimate, thorough medical research on this subject. LSD's outlaw status makes it very difficult to obtain permission & funding for research. Therefore, you should regard all of the anecdotes and conclusions here as being scientifically unproven, and you should note that any experimentation you choose to do carries a significant risk.
    2. Lithium or tricyclics (like Amitriptyline, Anafranil, Asendin, Aventyl, Elavil, Endep, Norfranil, Norpramin, Pamelor, Sinequan, Surmontil, Tipramine, Tofranil, Vivactil) are fairly consistently reported as being very bad in combination with LSD. People attempting this combination are unable to communicate with others, they go into "fugue states" where they end up in other places and don't know how they got there, and they are generally in a terrible place psychologically. Life-threatening seizures and at least one DEATH have been reported to be triggered by the combination of LSD and lithium.
    3. SSRIs (like Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, Desyrel) or MAOIs (like Nardil, Parnate, Marplan, Eldepryl, Aurorex, Manerix) are fairly consistently reported to noticeably reduce the effects of LSD. MAOIs seem to cause a greater reduction in the effects of LSD than SSRIs.

And like others have been saying, Nyquil shouldn't really have done anything to the trip. The problem is somewhere else, most likely very weak/bunk tabs.

Interesting that MAOIs reduce LSD effects. I wonder why this is so. It's the opposite for every other drug afaik, to the point of it being a dangerous combo (never do dxm or K + maoi)
