never heard of the term "stoner metal" either ....bands as Millionaire,Kyuss and QOTSA are just listed as stoner rock even though they are more metal-ish than the mp3's i've just listened to. i like "A Good Day For The Sun" best, nice tempo and great use of the organ, "Hey J" was a bit too cheerful for a sunday morning.:H
Some stoner rock bands could be called stoner metal. like Gas giant, Spiritual beggars, Orange goblin and Sixty watt shaman.
There was a band called Mass who made excellent doomy stuff, but the band currently doing the rounds under that name isn't them. The ultimate stoner metal/doom act are Sunn 0))). You know this, in your heart.
There is a death metal band named cephalic carnage who are obviously potheads, and their music is fucking insane. The lyrics.....are really stupid, but amazing at the same time. Check them out!

I don't think 60 watt could be considered as Metal.. I actualy think Reason to live is metal.. seed of decades is so bluesy.. won't consider it Metal.. >> my point! Peace..
