so im upgarding from my cyber shot to a more advanced SLR as i feel my photography is moving on and im looking to improve further. im on a budget so cant go mental and i live in the uk, where everythings dear. :) im going to get a canon so me and my boyfriend can share lenses and cut costs.

this is basically for some advice from people that know about the cameras,
do you think i should save and get the 450d or go for the 1000d which has slightly less spec (although not hugely i would say) but is quite a bit cheaper?

    any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers guys.

If you think you will need or want the extra features then save a little more and get the 450D. I am assuming we are talking Canon. I use a Nikon D300 and D200, you will love your DSLR once you get it.
