For those that don't know, an MBOX is a device you can plug into your USB which has inputs for guitars and mics etc and comes with some great mixing and recording software. I am going to inflict you with awful songs.
if it makes you feel any better, I started off with a MBOX like yourself. then realized all I really needed was a $100 mixer and a $10 miniplug to RCA cable to plug into my sound card. viola! Ps. We should collaborate our noise, no?
Cool, I definitely want a mixer....but I will wait a little while. I would rather mix when i'm recording rather than fiddle around with it all later like a nerd. I need to buy a keyboard too because my cousins stole ours and I don't have the heart to ask for it back. Kids, you know.
Its all in the software. You use the software to add the effects. I'm not a huge fan of this but it will do for now. I would rather use a mixer. I'm traditional
http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=guitarrig3 you can get Guitar Rig off a torrent for free. The effects are pretty decent actually.
Can you link me to ur tunez again bruz? I need to hear the coolness. So do you mess with your tunes a lot? I just don't like sitting in front of a computer unless i'm typing. I want to try and get most of my sound perfected through an analog mixture and by recording in weird places like the bathroom. I really only chose the M-Box over the 4 track recorder for the sound quality, although, you never know, I might get into the whole sampling thing.
ay face, you can check out our music at http://www.myspace.com/teamleary excuse all the pretentiousness, but enjoy the music.
I have heard garge band and an Apple PC cna make a great sound mixer. I am not a musician, but I have heard a coworkers results. Seems tight.
yeah, i use that to record stuff so i don't forget it, it is decent but certainly not professional grade by any stretch
