I've been sewing for awhile, and have really gotten into patchwork. I can do squares, but that's as far as I've learned I'm having some trouble with "crazy-quilting" patchwork style though. I can get some of it sewed, but them I run out of edges and always get creases when I try to sew the last piece around. I hope this makes some sense. Does anyone have any advice or know of any tutorials available on the internet. It's starting to drive me nuts, and I just can't figure out what I should be doing that I'm not. This is not my picture, it's of a victorian quilt from google, but it's kind of what I'd like to learn. Thanks. eace: biscuits
From what I've learned, crazy quilts were made of scrap velvets and silks. The scraps were appliqued with small stitches to a cotton backing. Once the square of cotton was covered with scraps, the edges of the scraps were decorated with embroidery stitches. I hope that helps, biscuits and yarn!
