Hipforums is good for my sex life?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Since talking and reading about anal and oral sex with 19 year olds (and then fantasizing about said anal sex with 19 year olds), and doling out advice I am not qualified to give, I have noticed my sex life is much improved. My wife and I had some great sex this week, TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW.

I've been using Hipforums longer than I've had a sex life...

Either way, a good deal of my know how and openness about sex comes from the forums; but reading Maxim and Savage Love certainly haven't hurt.

Why's that?

I am not renewing my subscription though. I mostly read it in middle school; my older brother got them. Back then they were so much thicker and had so many more interesting stories and features.
Now they remind me of thick comic books and are half ads.

But I still would like to know why you think it's junk.

 

Cause a lot of the stuff they say in there is inaccurate.

 

It's not as bad as the teen girly magazines, I know that much. I've read my sister's they say some ridiculous shit.

I've noticed Maxim tends to have the modern style of journalism. Where it is (almost) all anecdote and (little to) no statistic.
In this sense it can be extremely misleading.
But if you can pick through the bullshit, there is a lot to gain from it. You get some picture of what (young) sexuality is like in our times. There are some really good relationship and sex tips. There are some really interesting articles and information, that you can't find just everywhere.
I've seen some shit I would never expect to find in such a mainstream and widespread magazine in there; that sort've thing makes me really happy.

I haven't read any current day Playboys, but my older brother's 90's Playboys definitely had better overall quality of articles; but I think Maxim has a touch of something special. (Especially 90s Maxims =P)

(Sorry to derail the thread, but at least we are bumping it, right? =D)
