Thank you to all the Dead Heads who have their heads on straight! Obama won last night and it took every single one of us. Every person, every group, every vote counted last night to save us from 4 more years of the same. News doors have opened and America is starting to live up to its promise. Its a wonderful day to be an American. The world is already looking at us in a new way.

These next few years won't be easy, but we've never been a people to back down from a challenge. Its the era of a new generation. A generation looking to leave the bullshit of the 60's behind and start living up to the dreams of the 60's. Where all men and women are equal. Lets get to work, the last 8 years have done a lot of damage.

This is a wonderful thing for all of us, whether you voted for Obama or not. Welcome to the new World.

Don't be bitter. We all won. Whether you get it now or later, its all for the best. John McCain accompanied by his dangerously-unqualified running mate Sarah Palin would have been awful for our country. People all around the world already see America in a better light. If we had voted in the Republican party again we would have been given up on.

Obama's tax policy and foriegn policy are far more superior to McCain's. And the overwhelmingly large electoral-college vote agrees with me. John McCain ran the worst, most unorganized, erratic campaign this country has ever seen. If that was any indication of what his administration would have been like, we are all extremely lucky to have Obama; who ran the best presidential campaign this country has ever seen.

Bush was my president and I have suffered through all his decisions. Now Obama will be your president and you get to benefit from it just like the rest of us. Your welcome :)

    you'll understand in time.

I agree to that......and LET'S LEAVE THE ACCEPTED (BY THE SHITHEADS ONLY!!) BULLSHIT OF THE REAGAN AND THATCHER 80s WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy behind us, because if ever damage really started it was with those 2 RIGHT-WING shitheads!!

First off, I am American. More proud than ever to be one as well!! I just happen to live outside of the US currently.

Its okay that your bitter right now, it was a hard fought contest...well sort of, your side did pretty bad. but, never-the-less it was long.

Like I said you may never understand, but we are all better off now that Obama will be the next president and not McCain.

I suffered through Bush, you get to benefit from Obama. We are all Americans, we suffer and prosper by our vote. America made the right choice. You will see soon enough.

    peace!

Thats your problem. Even If i wasn't American, it'd still be "We". This is one world, effected by the choices of every country. Electing McCain would have shown we refuse to evolve.

You really need to stop being such a dick and realize the gravity of the situation and why we dodged a very dangerous bullet called the "republican party".

You talk like Obama and McCain were the only candidates. They weren't, just so you know.

I voted for Nader, I think he would have been a better president than Obama. I'm just glad McCain isn't president.

my ballot had 12 lines of presidential candidates.
I seriously considered Cynthia McKinney & Rosa Clemente, but Colorado HAD to go blue.

I don't have to get used to anything. He's not my president, like President Bush wasn't to millions.

    I don't trust Obama.

He has to gain my trust.

Looking at Obama's past --Rev. Wright/Bill Ayers/Tony Rezko -- I doubt he will ever gain my trust.

I'm not bitter -- I'm an American -- unlike you. [IMG]

and here I thought you were like me and didn't like his aggressive foreign policy, or his support for the bailout of the rich. But no, you're merely another uninformed fool.

If I ran for office I'm sure I'd lose, lol I'd be too wild with my policy... Legalizing things, outlawing things, firing fools, the world economy would rise with all the hemp products though.

    Yeah...you've been paying attention.

Obama kicked of his political career off in at Bill Ayer's home...in his living room.

Would you kick off your political career in a domestic terrorist home if you were running for political office?

Also, Obama and Ayers hung out together before. It's a known fact.

I believe Obama has radical views....
like his ex-pastor of 20 YEARS...the anti-American racist Rev. Jeremiah ''God Damn America'' Wright....
and oh yeah...he only became his ex-pastor after Rev. Wright was exposed for his racist-anti-American rants.

You and others can blindly follow Obama...but, I don't have to.

Well, I think black people have the right to hate America... Four hundred years of slavery will do it.

Obviously you have not been paying attention. These claims of Obama kicking "off his political career off in at Bill Ayer's home...in his living room."....have all been disproved. Where is your evidence for this beyond right wing bloggers and a former presidential candidate?

If you actually listen to the "rant" of Rev. Wright on that youTUBE video, you would realize what he was saying was not far fetched. i know when you hear the words "goddamn america", your mind shuts down and refuses to understand why someone would say such a thing...but there was validity behind those words. he was listing atrocities like slavery and the japanese interment...he was "damning" that part of America. It was the press junket he had for a week after the controversy started to settle down that he crossed a line. He began to act like characteur of himself. He was embarrassing. Regardless of that all, Rev. Wright is not Obama. Obama is a far superior man, with a cool demeanor and sound judgment.

None of us are following Obama. We are intrigued by the possiblities, but don't think for one minute i will let him have a free ride. I will call him out on his bullshit like the rest. but you actually have to pose some real problems...not loose connections to former 60's radicals (thats what they were called before the word "terrorist" became the new fear word) and former pastors.

Like i said, bitch and moan about it all you want. but just as we suffered under bush, you will prosper under Obama.

    PEACE!

    Signed,

Proud American, who lives out of the country and has already seen the difference in how people view and talk about America.
