Hi, I am 26 and am thinking about takign DXM for recreational use for the first time. I was wondering if you could provide me some tips, which cough syrup brands you recommend, and any other helpful advice you might have. I was thinking about taking Mucinex DXM.

You want to only take medicine in which the only medicinal ingredient is Dextromethorphan (Hydrobromide). Any other medicinal ingredients present should rule out said medicine from recreational use. First time I recommend 300-400mg dxm.
you dont want to use mucinex. for your first time, id say drink a big bottle of delsym. thats how i introduced people to dxm. you could go for the standard 4 oz of robotussin or the 20 cough gels of robotussin, but on the real, to get a real first time experience, do a delsym.
