Smokey Insense..ew!

Hello, I LIKE insense and I have one of those cool bottles where you put the stick in and smoke comes out of the lil holes. BUT - all the insence i get they, they smell good before i burn them...but when I burn them, and stick em' in that cool bottle - the smoke comes out and it STINKS LIKE ONLY SMOKE! Like burning - gross, then I have to open the window because it gets too stuffy and smokey.

Am I doing something wrong here? I usuually just light the stick, let the fire burn for a bit, then blow it out so the smoke can go. What the heck? Is there like a good brand of GOOD smelling insense I could buy, or is it that bottle or something? Ok, thank ya!

 

maybe it's just cheap incense. what kind did you buy?

 

Mine smells mostly like smoke too, then again it was a dollar from Walgreens

How much will good incense cost?

 

if it's made from all natural ingredients, no artifical scents or anything, it should smell better and last longer. my favourite is nag champa, and it's pretty popular. as far as cost goes, you can usually manage to find a box of 100 sticks or something for pretty cheap, 7, 8 bucks or so.

 

Yes it is cheap incense. they have several places online where you can get a free catalog in the mail. just type in incense in your search, gypsy rose sells good incense. If you buy cheap incense they will just smell like wood burning Trust me on that. You get what you pay for. The best incense i have is my pipe smoke. Captain black royal is'nt to bad, although it is'nt the best for your health, but then again neither are incense with un natural chemicals in them, trust me on that. What can i say, i enjoy it though.:sunglasse

I used to love incence alot but then i discoverd an aromia diffuser and i LOVE IT! its great, if your not getting what you want with your incence you should give it a try, you can do a search on www.google.com and you will get a ton of pages.

Just curious, what does nag champa smell like? Can you describe it? Once i get some money I'll swing by this place that'll have some.. what exactly is a head shop? I know my brother's friend told me about one, but he said it kinda quietly

 

wow surprised no one said this.. its probably from keeping it in a bottle, way too much of it builds up... smoke goes stale too, try an ash tray or invest in a real incense holder, should fix ya right up...

 

All I usually get is slightly sweet smelling smoke too... ewwww.

 

I bought my incense from this head shop place in North Myrtle Beach.... I usually get it if we go anywhere on vacation and I try to find shops like that.

a head shop is a place that sells drug paraphenelia, like bongs and papers and pipes and whatnot....
they're usually likely to sell other stuff like hemp products and incense as well, so if you want to find incense, you could always try your local shop if you have one.

i'm not sure why they're called head shops, now that i think about it... i guess i figured you buy stuff "for your head", or something... drugs... hm, does anyone else have a better explanation?

 

if you cannae get an insence holder just sitck the sticks into something squishy or a make a hole in something

I think theyre called head shops because all the "heads" shopped at similar places. Not sure tho.
