Same old cycles, same old keeping the system afloat. I wonder what the homeless would say when told that there was a God knows how many billion pound "bailout" for the banks...would they care, and would it mean anything? It doesnt mean anything. They just need this system to continue. And so it does. All hail the face of the operation, some stuffy old rich bloke. Maybe were supposed to think hes a saviour now instead of some kind of joke. I think hes a prat and bugger the lot of them

    Im rambling on here

Old ... in many countries ... is an honour and respect is something which a lot of older people have amongst the younger generations ... so why are some people bitter about a person because of their age?

    I guess it is immaturity!

Hopefully when they get older, they may also have gained some respect ...

so, the banks need £37bn to save them from going to the wall and vaporising our savings ... as has been widely reported, nearly half that amount went in bonuses to these spivs and shysters last year ... so it goes.

haha. i'm bitter, but thats because i work on a low pay band and he had the great idea to take away the 10p tax so the tax man robbed me of even more money, i doubt many people are bitter because of his age, just his bad policies.

Oh my Gawd, please dont tell me youre serious:rolleyes: My comments werent about his age. I used the word "old" because he IS old, thats it! Its a phrase. Hes one old man fronting himself as the guy governing the people of this country. Please open up your mind a bit rather than picking up on petty little things, my issues run far deeper than pathetic squabbles over numbers. Ironically I happen to be a person who puts very little meaning into how many years an adult has been on this planet, its a part of my character most people dont seem to like or find comfortable. I respect other humans for being human. Its a bloody hippy site. Do you really think everyone who ever called someone else old is an OAP basher with no respect?
Well, I guess if this kind of talk distracts you from the real issues, go on giving your irrelevant lectures to people who have no need of them:rolleyes:

Yes I think he's done a brilliant job. Lets give him a pat on the back for using all our hard earned tax to bail out the obviously corrupt, slack and evidently stupid system......he's like a new messiah sent here to save us all..........hip hip........:hurray:

Hey, to me he is. I thought I was going to lose millions in investments for a while there, but as soon as that government cheque came through my stately home front door (the second one, I only use the grand door for VIPs) all my worries drifted away. So much so, I've just booked a six week holiday to a luxury spa resort in America.

    I'll see you mugs...um, fools...um, idiots later. :cheers2:

some of my unemployable friends think the situation quite funny, people with jobs and homes (in the system) losing them whilst they sit smug with their giro coming through the door waiting for the system to crash. What they seem unable to comprehend is that if the system does fail there won't be any more giros' worth waiting for, and I do fail to see how the ability to sleep till midday will assist them in acquiring what they will need. Still aint gonna happen anyway they appear to be doing what is necessary.

Point being that if the system does collapse then there will be a true equaliser coming into existence. But that will never happen. Let's remember in a time of real economic capitalist crisis that the England cricket were able to be offered a million dollars each to play a game of cricket, if they won. That, is truly obscene.

Why do we always look to the ones who don't make the decisions to be the people to blame; then have the justification because we work that they shouldn't be allowed to have freedom of expression without being labelled undeserving shyte?

I have no idea why people are turning on eachother. Now more than ever people should be coming together to combat the REAL problem. Cant people see where their money, time and lives are REALLY going? Evidently nots

Couldn't agree with you more. That doesn't mean I'd make a point about someone's circumstance as to their right to voice a point of view. It's no more valid or righteous for Mervin King to laugh at people's distress as it is for Frank Gallagher; whether or not we agree, (and we do), that it is indeed a shyte attitude to have.
