    Right on. No on 8!

I know 2 people who got married the first day it was legal. Not to each other, they were each part of different couple. For one couple it was their 3rd wedding. They'd already been married in Canada and Mass.

This hateful thing just CANNOT pass!

In Fullerton, the slogan "NO ON PROP H8TE" was painted all over the place.

The fact of the matter is there has to be a separation of church and state. The religious right has a strong voting power and is butt soar since we started recognizing same sex marriage in CA.

The news this morning said there has been nearly 60 million spent by the religious powers to try to push people in their direction. The news also reported that prop 8 was loosing by 9 points.

I don't think it will pass.

Please don't blame yourself. I blame the mayor of San Francisco. The yes on 8 commercial with him saying "If you like it or not!" hurt our side. It pissed people off. Also, here in Santa Clarita the "yes" side was much better organized than the "no" side. They were at every major intersection in the city for weeks before the election. The "no on 8" people were M.I.A. But keep the faith. Were not though yet. We will fight on! :boxing_smiley:

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but this is crazy lol. Isn't California one of the most gay-populated states in the U.S.? There's even a specific district FOR them. I don't live in Cali, but from what i've heard/seen, its a very liberal state. Come on man, this shit cannot be passed. It seems like certain things never change, and this gay stigma follows them everywhere they go. Love is Love, and people don't seem to get that yet.

Ya know that prop 8 is against Constitutional law right?

Tho the Pro 8 folks will go on about how they will have to ammend the Constitution for the sake of protecting their secular moral values. Completely not what America or Law is about. Its about justice and equalty for all, not the will of a Moral majority.

I think what alot of those Pro 8 hatemongers fail to understand is that the very changes they will need to make to to the constitution for something like Prop 8 to be legaly upheld by the supreme court will in the same hand unravel many of the same things which protect the Second Ammendment rights at the level of the citizen, thereby taking away the rights of the private citizen to bear arms. (Especially considering who's heading to the white house soon.)

There is no need to hunt, and the English have gotten along without guns for a long while, so really, the only need for firearms is within the state militia and the right being extended to the people has become one done out of sheer respect for their personal desires and sense of freedom.

Just something you might want to suggest to the next person you meet who rambles on about how Prop 8 is some sort of step in the right direction for this country or some crazy horseshit like that.

    Food 4 thought.

Liberty and Justice for all, not Liberty and Secular Morality.

Just figured I'd "share some ammo" with other folks who are interested in enjoying the same fundamental rights as Americans that the rest of us do. ;) .
